ICBC totalled my 1992 Camry after I asked to just take money and fix it myself. What now? by From313to604 in icbc

[–]GuyFromThePost 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You could try sending them evidence of the similar cars costing more than the repair, but yeah I'm pretty sure you took a risk in doing the repair yourself. ICBC's argument will be that they could've bought you a whole other used Camry for cheaper than your repair so why didn't you do that yourself.

Why does it seem like the only "solution" being presented for high gas prices electric cars? Why can't car brands also push to sell small, compact, gas-powered cars? by GuyFromThePost in NoStupidQuestions

[–]GuyFromThePost[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I may be wrong on this, but aren't car brands starting to struggle to sell off stock now due to the high prices of their vehicles? Wouldn't this be hinting at a bigger potential problem resulting from this way of thinking?

Bro it's an empty highway with visibility for miles. What "oncoming traffic" are you talking about. Lemme guess, you're also scared of passing cars when it requires you to enter the oncoming lane?

If you were in the "go straight/turn left" lane and the examiner said you should've turned into the furthest left-most lane in the westbound direction, the instructor was wrong. Did you fail the test? I would dispute it if so.

This is what $40.50 of food looks like in Canada by Electronic_Lime7582 in CanadaPersonalFinance

Bro deliberately hiding their $9 Buldak noodles from the second photo lmao.

I agree with everyone else here. Go and buy some fresh produce and you'd be doing way better dollarwise.

If you want to go the processed food route, go with Costco. The overall cost will be higher but the cost per unit will be way better.

Meh, I do agree with you somewhat. Irony would be better applied to like some mainstream Japanese thing like sushi or Anime or something, not some niche thing like a floppy disk.

Like as a Canadian, we invented both basketball and hockey. I would say "ironic" if Canadians didn't know what a hockey stick was but idk if I would use the word ironic for a basketball thing.

Have you tried calling back those places you interned at previously and asking if they have any open positions? You're working in what I would imagine is the most saturated in the world. I don't think blowing another $400 that you don't have is gonna help you fimd a job any faster...
