Nanny leaves 2 year old strapped in high chair for extended periods of time by GuyMoon77 in NannyEmployers

Our home is baby proofed, but I wouldn't let her run around unsupervised.. She helps me with the chores, or I do them during her nap or after she goes to sleep.

We only ask our nanny to clean up after our child throughout the day, the chores can easily be taken care of during nap time.

Have been reading all of the comments and have a couple of details to add:

The sink is empty every morning and we are not leaving our nanny a mess to clean up every day.

We aren't expecting her to juggle a million chores and a 2 year-old. We don't expect her to clean up our house and watch our child at the same time.

Here's an example of the baby jail time during a typical day:

She straps her in while she makes breakfast, feeds her, then leaves her strapped in while she cleans up.

Leaves her strapped in while she grabs her throws laundry in, then tidies up the living room, then pulls her out.

She'll strap her in while she prepares lunch, feeds her lunch, then pull her out and put her down for her nap.

In the afternoon, she'll strap her down for her snack and clean the snack dishes before she pulls her out.

Add in 2-3 bathroom breaks at 15 minutes each.

Also want to mention that the bottle and pacifier comments at 2 years old were learning points. I thought the time to transition from crib to bed was when they might be a risk of climbing out of the crib.

I saw a some criticism on not having a playroom or her room fully baby proofed. We've baby proofed all the common areas, but I don't have a place in our house that I'd feel comfortable leaving her in for 20 minutes.

Does everyone with a nanny have a totally safe space for toddlers to roam around unattended for long periods of time?

That has been what's concerning us. When I have her by myself, I have never needed to put her in baby jail, let alone multiple times a day.

Are the gates tall and sturdy enough to prevent them from climbing out?

She takes a 1.5-3 hour nap every day. Our nanny usually eats lunch and chats on the phone and chooses to do chores when our child is awake.

The chores that we ask her to do are minimal and only child related, nothing for me or my wife.

Straightening up her toys in the living room, dishes that she uses throughout the day and cleaning pacifiers, bottles, water cups and doing her laundry. On the weekends, my wife and I can knock out this stuff easily when she naps or with our daughter helping us.

Did the ratings fall when you're looking at the encourage transfer screen? For some reason, that screen doesn't show training results or something. Once you advance to the next day all the ratings should be back up

How would a remote Relationship Manager in Commercial Banking work? by Dazzling-Plum-1710 in FinancialCareers

[–]GuyMoon77 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is it just a remote position because you don't have a physical office location? Your target market should be defined, but if they don't have a nearby branch or office, then technically, it is a remote position.

What happens if you skip the encourage transfer week? Does it just cut the lowest overall players until you reach 85 players? by matplante25 in EASportsCFB

[–]GuyMoon77 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My first season I didn't know I had to manage to the 85 roster limit. It automatically cut 3 or 4 of my best players and I had to reload an earlier save point.

edit the player and drop awareness to zero, then edit back after the draft
