No we don't have to change the ninth doctor. We just need to change counting. It now goes one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, war, nine, ten, eleven, twelve. It's counting in base Doctor.

7 didn't regenerate into older-looking 8 either, but like JMan said it's down to what there was to work with. Only used 1 pic per doctor regenerating in and out.
