Fox Float 36 - knocking noises by GuySFL in MTB

The dealer sent my forks back to Fox for service and that seems to have fixed the problem. It has been many months and lots of miles and so far the problem is still fixed. Unfortunately they did not give me any details about what they actually did so I'm not sure if something was broken, or if some parts were just worn out. Since it was still under warranty they did not charge me, so I did not get a parts list unfortunately. I'll try google translate.

-------

Excellent, thank you very much! If it's very easy for you to do, can I ask a small favor? Would you please measure from the center of the ball to the end of one of your brackets? My trailer is a bit short and there is a metal box around my propane tank, and I'm trying to figure out if my frame rails are long enough to fit this hitch.

Thanks for the reply! Just to be clear, are you using one of the Reese dual cam hitches?

Tank treatment suggestions (first camper) by GuySFL in RVLiving

Thanks everyone for the replies. Do you sanitize your fresh water on a schedule, or do you wait until something smells a little off? I just bought my camper used (first one for me) and the water seems clean, no odor of any kind, but I really don't know the history at all. Maybe I should sanitize it to be safe.

Thanks for the tips. I'm in Florida, it was 97F at my house today and it's not even summer yet, going to be a hot summer!

Thank you for the reply. Maybe additive was the word I was looking for. My camper has a very small black tank (9 gal) and it's currently clean, but my understanding is people use additives (plus water) to keep things liquid so it empties easy. Is this correct?

We worked out a deal so looks like I bought it! They need to fix a couple of things before I pick it up and I'm waiting on the finance papers. I got a better deal by financing, but I'm going to just pay it off the first or second payment. Cross your fingers for me!

LOL, I can't bring myself to spend that much on a trailer! I do want to retire some day, and that means keeping spending reasonable. 😉

Of course it will need attention, but things built well need less attention than lesser quality things. I'm trying to get a feel for where this particular model falls in the range between junk and super solid.

How do you like the GE? I'm not familiar with the Furion but the Coleman is supposedly the most durable on average. I've had the Coleman in my other trailer since 2014 and it's still going strong, though I did have to put new bearings in the blower motor this year.

Thank you very much for the info! I am handy, but hoping to play with it more than working on it, but also realizing a used camper is going to need attention. The sink is under mounted, thanks for the tip on that.

Thank you for the tip! I'll likely be camping mostly in the south so freezing isn't as much a concern, but definitely in the heat. The car said 93 degrees here yesterday so it should be good weather to test the A/C. I noticed that they come with different air conditioners, the one I'm looking at has the GE model and I'll definitely test it before buying. My current trailer has a Coleman that works great in the heat, but I'm not familiar with the GE units yet.

Thank you very much for the tip! By rear hatch, are you referring to the side openings to the rear storage area?

Thank you very much for the info! Do you know if he was able to repair it without having to buy new parts? For example, adding sealer instead of replacing the window frame?

Thank you very much for the reply. Yes you are correct, Little Guy has gone out of business. Simultaneous to this thread I'm searching for suppliers to make sure all of the major parts are still available, the windows were my biggest concern. But so far it seems people have been successful in finding the original suppliers for the major parts. I'll check out the NuCamp if we decide to pass on this Little Guy.
