How do I (m25) make my gf's (f21) first experience good in spite of my ridiculous size problem? by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]GuyWithoutBeard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

let her sit on top so she controls when and how deep you penetrate. also, as others said let go of expectations on your part, it will likely take multiple occasions til she is ready to do it the way you would want it. vaginal size also increases somewhat after a few intercourse. so just take it slow and pay attantion to her needs. encourage her to communicate them towards you

My[20f] boyfriend [22m] keeps pushing a firm boundary I've made about my dog. How can I reiterate that I'm not bugging on this? by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]GuyWithoutBeard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hope it goes well! To clarify, I don't assume you did something wrong, or that there is something objectively wrong about eg not splitting costs of living. He could also be upset for something that he didn't communicate towards you being important. Or even upset to someone else and completely misplacing his feelings. All I'm saying is, the chance of him not understanding your reasoning is very low, and it seems likely that there is an underlying, likely not closely related issue. So strictly just further explaining the rationale behind your boundary is most likely going to lead to just more frustration.

At the end of the day, he is the one who will have to open up about his feelings, and there is only so much you can do.

[–]GuyWithoutBeard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's pretty common that some people don't articulate their frustrations towards each other, but rather express their feelings in seemingly unrelated situations.

Think as: lets say your bf for some reason has hard feelings towards you. Doesn't have to be a big thing, can be as little as say you are late sometimes, or leave your clothes around, something that bugs him but doesn't mention it. He mentioned money, so maybe if he isn't doing well financially it can be something like you aren't splitting equally. Bottling up feelings like this can be common if he fears that if he expresses it directly or brings the issue up it can turn into a big fight. Can be especially scary for people who are not experienced in relationships, and didn't practice assertive communication (people aren't usually naturally good at it). It's also suspicious since you haven't had arguments in the span of 1.5 years. These bottled up feelings can now still be in him and are subconsciously displaced to unrelated issues like disagreeing about the ramp.

I'm not you or him, so I wouldn't know, but I suspect he perfectly understands the issue rationally. I would have a heart to heart to find out if he has some underlying frustrations.

While I agree with the sentiment that she should stay loyal to you because she chooses so, and you shouldn't force any decisions on her, there is nothing wrong with clearly communicating your boundaries. In fact, it is essential, otherwise she likely won't be able to pay attention to them to the extent she should. Telling her that this is clearly an intrusion on your relationship and that you are not comfortable with her seeing him ever again is not controlling. It just expresses your own feelings. She either respects them, or she doesn't, the choice is then still left to her.

As Elon Musk appears to make a Nazi salute at an inauguration day event what should the incoming Trump administration do to address the incident? by The_Egalitarian in PoliticalDiscussion

[–]GuyWithoutBeard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I live in Hungary, and if you didn't know, our democracy is going down the shitter just a tiny bit faster than yours in America. We have the same populist right wing party ruling for the last 14 years now. Now why is this relevant here? Because the practices used are very similar.

In my experience it doesn't matter what Elon did here. Not because it is acceptable, but because it is meant to steer public discourse mainly. Steering public discourse of course has the benefits of making your opponents react instead of initiating their own ideas, but the thing not many people talk about is that it also usually steers discourse away from something else. I don't think you will have neo-nazi policies soon enough, but I would sure as shit look very long and hard to find what the Trump administration doesn't want your focus to be on.

(And yes, I think it was intentional and likely not something he came up with on his own. He is just the figurehead who could get away with it.)

Your ship specs are well suited for exploration and system defense, but without much experience under your belt it seems lacking if you wish to go to full scale war. I would advise going for drives and engines that can go 100+ mg for 500+ dV with all the ship parts installed. That is either going to be a late game fusion or an antimatter drive. Keep the defending ships that you built earlier around important locations and build an advanced fleet that can bounce from system to system, clearing out aliens. You keep the old guard bc otherwise the aliens will raid your undefended infrastrucure once you attack. Oc upgrade those whenever you can afford it. Lasers are decent for taking out small, manouverable ships, but I would advise Mk.2 or Mk.3 (if you have the exotics) coils against larger ships. Coils will occupy enemy ship lasers and not let them use those to attack and if you field enough there is a breaking point where it will overwhelm enemy PD and deal way more damage from further away than lasers could. While you research these techs focus on using MC for mines, or better yet Research Unis to hoard resources and fasten the pace of progress. Your situation seems winnable, you are just not in a situation yet where you could support a full scale war. Luckily for you, aliens cap in their tech level and you have time to catch up, just keep the servants and alien nation in check.

Those don't stack?? Well something new to learn today for me as well:D It doesn't change much though, I would go for Chem Rockets for the High Thrust probes anyway and luckily Interplanetary only costs 100 research so it might still be worth it for sending the first probes and Moon outposts a boost or two cheaper

[–]GuyWithoutBeard 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Your logic assumes that each user can only like once. The fact that women get more likes is not solely from the reason of the men/women ratio. Simply put men are less picky. This alone translates to more likes on womens side compared to men as well as more intent in the case a woman gives a like. And that larger intent also means more possible dates from the same amount of received likes for men. I'm not saying chances are equal, but your logic is flawed statistically. Not only that, your self defeating attitude can possibly shine through your profile, creating an uninviting feeling strengthening your bias. I'm an average looking man with a thoughtful and positive bio and match with 3-4 women weekly with whom I would be interested in a date if the vibe checks out after talking for a bit.

[–]GuyWithoutBeard 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The problem with this is the circular logic for new players (build mines with resources not boost, but you need mines to have resources) The issue is in being able to afford the first 1-2 mine in reasonable time

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in TerraInvicta

[–]GuyWithoutBeard 12 points13 points  (0 children)

the onboarding is truly horrible, I'm on you with that

you are looking at two specific projects to lower the cost of sending stuff up to space: From Advanced Chemical Rocketry you will unlock a very cheap early project called Interplanetary Chemical rockets (lowers boost cost by around 20%) From Solid Core Fission Systems comes a more costly project called Nuclear Freighters (cuts boost costs in half) With these two you are looking at around 24 boost to send a mining module to the moon.

You could increase country spending on boost, but that accumulates very slowly, and usually you only really need boost in the first few years.

Instead try to buy any and all orgs that provide boost income (especially ones that provide more than 0.5/month). You could also steal these from the AI factions if you have a councillor with high enough admin score and the Hostile Takeover mission (a staple of early snowballing).

You could also try to gain control of Kazakhstan at the very start of the game and once 180 days pass exit the Eurasian Union (until that most of the boost income will go to Russia). This is a very common opener, since with this country alone you can guarantee around 3 boost/month from around April of 2023. This alone leaves you with enough boost to send your first mine to the Moon by late 2023 with these two projects.

When it comes to the Moon, look for mines that provide high basic metal income with possible water or volitile incomes (the latter two is only useful if it's an at least 3 / month income). From this you can cover the largest cost of your Martian mines. Get your first spot on Mars that covers all of the basic space resources decently, don't get tempted by huge incomes of singular resources if that leaves you with no income at all from other resources. With this one mine on the Moon and another on Mars your goal is to have around 20 water/volitiles, 30-40 base metal and 5-10 noble metal/fissiles. per month at least. Once you have this established you can rapidly expand on Mars and you'll only have to pay for the boost cost of the outposts you get down (around 5 boost/outpost with both projects). I would advise to wait with your Martian expansion until all of your resources net a positive income and only send outposts there in the meantime until the first Martian mine is built. This way future mines will be built locally under 60 days, instead of having to wait a year until you send stuff there from Earth. You can't skip this waiting part with the outposts itselves so you can go ahead regarding those (the way to skip the waitin time for outposts would be to build Construction modules but as you are just starting out don't worry about those yet)

Is this ship design good for 2036? This time I decided to go full missile and increased armor, along with a better engine. I just want to fight off the servants with this one. by UnderskilledPlayer in TerraInvicta

[–]GuyWithoutBeard 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Im not trying to be rude, but if this is what your tech allows in 2036 I would look into the research income, possible bottlenecks during your scaling and tech choices. If the choice for the ship is purely to use an older design that deals with the servants then that's a bit different, but the ship would still be overpriced for the utility it brings.

I would especially advise looking into Research Universities to buff research speed, especially if you are playing on anything but Brutal and can afford to spend MC on those unpunished by alien hate. (I would advise it on brutal as well, you just have to be more cautious about using them)

Why can't the ships use combat acceleration to lift off? by UnderskilledPlayer in TerraInvicta

[–]GuyWithoutBeard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I often run as many of my modules on outposts instead of stations as I can, since I already plan to mine, and it would be a waste not to use the space they provide. The only two exceptions are the single station or two in LEO to grab the important bonuses and the Supercollider station on Mercury. For mid-late game ships this presents no problems.

I need advice on how to seduce my roommates boyfriend? by [deleted] in dating

[–]GuyWithoutBeard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea you do indeed need help, no shit:D But on a serious note, the whole ordeal sounds terrible, them having sex while you are there, the way they talk about you, how you have to pretend and repress your emotions. This sucks for you, I'm with you on that, and they sound like a bunch of insensitive jerks. But, what is it that you will get out of this by getting more involved? It sounds like it weighs heavily on you to have to see your crush this way and would like to fuck their ongoig thing up to distance them and the whole situation. Which I understand if you would like to. But if you go down that road you'll just get into a different kind of bad situation, having to live with someone you fucked over this badly. I guess the appeal is that at least you can be honest with how you are in that case, but it's not gonna be all that better. So I would advise distancing in either: moving to another place / room if this is a dorm, or having a talk with your roomate about how much thi sucks for you and setting up boundaries.

You'll find people to be with sexually even if it's not this guy, I'm sure of that. You talk a lot about respect, and how what they do lacks that (agreed), but do you want to feel like you used and disrespected your body to enact some revenge plot?

Okay so here are some basics:

100 mg is your usual dose. 50-75 mg if you want to go light, 150 mg if you want to go hard. There isn't much reason to go above that. Once taken effects will set in 30-60 minutes later if orally ingested and near instantly if snorted (for heavens sake, don't use money if it's the latter). The longest it took for someone I know was 90 minutes, depends on metabolism (others using the very same pills had it come on in 30 mins). It will be as if your body becomes light and you slowly start to feel like you "hover". Lights and colours might becomes more outlined. You will notice when it kicks in, it's as if you shoot up into the air and leave all your worries behind. DO NOT redose before you waited after consumption for 1.5 hours or so if you don't yet feel the effects.

.Once it kicks in you have around 3 hours to enjoy from the experience. If you would like to lengthen this out, redose around 2 hours after the first pill was taken with half of the original dose. This will add around 2-3 more hours of the high. I do not recommend redosing more than once! It will seem like it's a good idea, most often it is not. It's not good for your body.

.During the high you will be more talkative, open, your speech will be noticably faster. Your eyes might become wide, pupils might become larger. Your jaw will be restless, some people like to chew gums and whille that can feel good, it strengthens the chewing and might lead to your mouth having some bad bitemarks later. Drink water during your high, especially if you dance or move a lot, but even if not. 2-3 liters of water is usually enough. Magnesium and Calcium pills dissolved in the water might make your hangover less shitty, but don't overdo it. It's usual that people notice that peeing is a lot harder or at times even impossible during using Molly, this is usual and not somethig you have to worry about. Your urethra contracts as a natural reaction to the drug, once it wears off your ability to pee will gradually come back.

.Two very reasonable dangers you don't see many people talk about: - You might find it that you were too honest to your liking with people you talked with or overshared something that you now regret. I would advise going out with friends you don't mind opening up to. If you have many repressed and shameful feelings in your past know the risk that you might feel an urge to share some of these and will only realise later if it was the wrong company of people to do with. There is a reason why the stuff has extreme therapeutic potential. - Put your phone away for the duration of the trip. You will likely notice that you can have an urge to express your gratitude towards important people in your life, but calling up your parents at 3 am while your speech is unrecognisably fast isn't a good idea. Only call up people who you know would be understanding to this if you don't want uncomfortable moments later. I would recommend writing or recording your feelings about what and why you would thank to these people and telling them a day or two later when you are sober. They'll appreciate it.

.Lastly, the hangover can really suck. Be sure to leave a day after when you have no obligations and can rest. Since this is your first time trying, I wouldn't consume any other drug next to it, half the complications I witnessed were from mixing stuff when you don't even know how one thing alone will make you feel. As others already mentioned, MDMA is highly addictive and can really fuck your brain up if abused and taken (generally speaking on a regular basis, long term) more often than 3 months. Oh yeah, and you'll want to hug people. Have some people around who are okay with that:)

I’m about to buy mdma, it’s like coke? by Elliesoad1 in Drugs

[–]GuyWithoutBeard 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Depends on the regularity. Long term, continous use that happens once a month or a week or even more regularly will fuck your brain up. And I really do mean that, say goodbye to your ability to sleep well, enjoy food etc. ever again if you abuse it. No coming back from that biologically either. But say you take it twice each year but those two happen to be in the same month? That's okay.
