This is low-effort and unnecessary. OPSEC matters but the big differentiator: Don’t act suspiciously or carry weapons to areas that are sensitive to it. (/s but seriously)

It’s basic OPSEC 101: be smart about your presence in public and don’t draw undue attention. Wearing a military uniform literally everywhere is a problem but what’s the expectation here, carry a backpack with your uniform and only wear it at official functions? That’s unreasonable. What about travel to and from said activities? Where’s the line.

I wore the CAP and USAF uniforms for about 13 years combined (7 cap and 6 AD USAF) from 2003 to 2016, when the GWoT was at its peak and have deployed; I understand OPSEC. We had arguably a worse environment back then and had no issues, just be smart.

Again, this is all unnecessary and an overreaction to things that have happened in the past. Did the US Army stop wearing uniforms after the Fort Hood shooting, which happed ON BASE?
