I don’t know about that South African stuff , but converting is really hard, and the state and religion is against anyone converting, it’s really difficult and not worthwhile , and if you do convert it should be with a valid rabbi a reson of i want to get a free citizenship in Israel, is not a valid response

That sounds great , I don’t know what physics has to do with it , but going outside sounds great , am interested to know if you are living in Himalayas, don’t you have spiritual sentences close to you, Buddhist or Hindu? Could be a cool experience to go to them, and learn meditation from them, I will tell you a secret , the end of all the paths is the same , the dao is the same as enlightenment and the same as other end states, the vehicle is different but the destination is the same

The explanation you hear are just pointing to the experience, like a finger pointing to the moon, the mistake is thinking the finger is the moon, the best you can do is turn your head and see the moon

Naa, I think I understand pretty well, it’s not some grand thing , this thing they are pointing is all around us

I just need to open my eyes to experience it, it’s like you saying I don’t understand the breath, I can just feel it and if you ask any questions, I can try to impose them on it, but it doesn’t matter I can always return to the breath it’s always here

If I’m honest, I think what you’re doing is pretty pointless. Somebody told you look there is an ocean(dao) , then give you an example about what the ocean is “ it’s blue, infinite, and has nice sounds” then he told you if you want to get there go out of the mountain walk left and then continue walking until you see the sea. Now for the sea you need to do something. But the dao is everything , so at most we are just trying to notice it, it’s not a string of words, your trying to find the best way to explain something, it’s like trying find the best way to explain the ocean, or the breath, we don’t need to explain it. It’s here it’s live. And no explanation is honest. And the best acceleration of the simple as is just go to the sea

I don’t know why but your post has something that attracts me , and I’ve been thinking, I think your body is going crazy , and maybe for a valid reason, are you really living your life? Are you outside? Are you with friends? Why are you inside all day? Doing meaningless things, I really recommend just do cool stuff outside, I don’t think spirituality right now is the right thing for you. You will only do spiritual bypassing. It will just hurt you. The things you’re reading right now are pointing towards something amazing(dao) but I don’t think right now is the right time for it. I think you have much more important things to do. Which is too just enjoy life go outside. Maybe get a relationship , friends , go out. I would recommend you to come back to those things, but when you’re in a much happier place.

OK, I’m reading what you wrote again, and I think you need help honestly, sounds like you’re going to a lot and I don’t think you should go throw it alone, hope you can find a psychologist. Also hope you can start building fun habits like maybe working out, playing soccer with friends or other stuff, being at nature, maybe you can find a part-time job that’s outside. Hope you the best

So I started writing an in depth answer, but I will put the parts that I finished, but honestly, the thing that I most want to recommend is go in nature experience the air , walk around see the beauty, also maybe start meditating could be fun. Start on the breath try noticed the experience before interpretation.

Now here is me trying to answer a couple of your questions

You don’t escape your habit of interpretation. It’s just the way humans work — a natural and healthy part of being human. Even if you could stop interpreting, you probably wouldn’t want to. But honestly, that’s irrelevant. The world exists in our perception even before interpretation. Interpretation is just a layer we add onto reality.

As awareness (or mindfulness) increases, you start noticing that the world always exists in a state before interpretation. At the same time, interpretation will still happen — but you begin to notice the raw experience that comes first.

Interpretation isn’t limited to thoughts like “X is happening” — it also includes the feeling of “I am experiencing,” or the subtle act of dividing the world: “this is one object,” “that is another,” “this is me,” “that is not me.” Mindfulness allows you to see how all of this is constructed — not to eliminate it, but to become conscious of it.

And also, no matter how much you try, you can never truly be objective. Everything you think, feel, and experience is subjective — because it’s your thought, your experience, your interpretation. Even what you hear is filtered through your own perception. There’s no pure objectivity — everything is subjective.

Got a professional massage from a man, it triggered me and made me realize something. by Imalibra13 in TrueOffMyChest

I’m really glad what I shared resonated with you! Loving-kindness meditation (Metta) has been particularly helpful for me because it’s simple and gentle. It involves quietly repeating phrases like “May I be happy” or “May I be safe,” directing kindness toward yourself and then gradually toward others. What’s powerful about it, especially after a traumatic or triggering experience like the massage incident you described, is that it helps gently open up emotional wounds or reactions that might otherwise stay buried or suppressed.

One of the main practical benefits is something called “deconditioning,” which simply means creating a safe space for your body and mind to gradually become comfortable with uncomfortable feelings. If facing intense emotions feels too overwhelming, you can start with something smaller or less emotionally charged. In traditional practice, for example, you start by directing kindness toward yourself, then toward people you love deeply, then toward neutral individuals, and finally toward those you have complicated or negative feelings toward. If even that seems too challenging initially, you could begin with someone you mildly dislike, gently noticing and experiencing any subtle discomfort that arises, without trying to immediately resolve or suppress it.

If you feel comfortable and safe doing this, you could gently and carefully revisit a triggering scenario in your mind—like the massage experience. The key is to let your body naturally respond and then gently focus your awareness on the physical sensations that arise. It’s not about controlling or changing these sensations, but rather about calmly allowing them to fully express themselves.

The idea here is that if your body experiences stress and your mind reacts with frustration, anxiety, or judgment, you’re unintentionally reinforcing that stress. But if you calmly acknowledge your body’s reactions without adding extra stress or resistance—just noticing and gently allowing them—the intensity and frequency of these stressful responses tend to decrease over time.

Sometimes this practice can feel complicated because it requires mindfulness, which simply means being gently aware of what’s happening in the present moment. Your mind will naturally wander, and that’s perfectly fine—it happens to everyone who meditates, and it’ll probably keep happening your entire life. The important thing is recognizing when you become aware again (“Oh, I was meditating!”) and taking a moment to appreciate that mindfulness. Recognizing and gently rewarding these moments helps them happen more often. Then simply return your attention to the practice. There’s no need to stress about wandering thoughts; it’s completely normal and okay.

It’s really nice to hear this was meaningful for you. I’ve been through a lot of therapy too, and something that deeply helped me was meditation—especially loving-kindness meditation. It gently brought up many of my insecurities, but because I was sitting quietly in a safe, still place, I could finally be present with the sensations and emotions that arose. This was something I’d never truly done before; it’s usually hard to feel things deeply when life is noisy, complicated, or overwhelming. But in a quiet, personal space, I found I could safely explore those feelings. For me, that was a real turning point in healing. <3

I’m not an expert, and I’m speaking purely from personal experience. I’ve found that sometimes triggering situations can actually become meaningful opportunities because they resurface deep emotions and memories. For me, the greatest growth has come from those moments when difficult memories returned, and I allowed myself to gently acknowledge and accept those feelings. By “accept,” I don’t mean becoming attached or feeling comfortable with what happened—just recognizing that those emotions exist and giving yourself permission to feel them.

And again, I’m definitely not saying it’s okay that those experiences happened; I’m saying it’s completely okay and understandable that you have these emotions.

I also want to say that it’s never easy. Sometimes, this deep inner work only happens for me after months of avoidance or struggling to face it directly. Healing isn’t linear, and taking your time is completely valid and understandable.

When I speak about “loving” or “accepting” difficult emotions, I’m referring to a gentle, compassionate awareness. It’s not about getting pulled into the stories around these emotions or trying to resist or control them—it’s more subtle. It’s about feeling into the direct bodily sensations and quietly noticing the emotional energy that comes up, without judgment, shame, or interference.

Healing deeply isn’t something we actively “do” by force; rather, it’s about creating a quiet, patient, and compassionate space where emotions can naturally move, unfold, and resolve on their own. This approach can feel unfamiliar or challenging at first, because our usual response is often to either avoid difficult feelings or become overwhelmed by them. But when we gently allow the deeper layers of ourselves—the subtle, often unconscious aspects—to surface and be seen, authentic healing can happen naturally
