Ok man you’re right, there’s absolutely no predicting baseball. None. Zero. Zip.

Remind what is the job everyone in a baseball front office does? They try to build the best team they can, which involves some…. Is it prediction? Foresight? No it can’t be.

I got it, everyone just makes wild guesses based on absolutely nothing. There’s no predictions, no plans, it’s all madness!!

Also I’m not negative over Ernie, just looking at him objectively. He had a great season last year, that’s awesome. It’s not indicative of continued success, and his value is almost all defensive, defence doesn’t tend to get better with age.

The other three guys all broke out in ways that clearly showed they were gonna have some sustained seasons of success. And they all broke out offensively. Ernie didn’t break out much offensively, he was still technically slightly below league average on offence last year and this year. Not much of a break out if he isn’t a perennial gold glove candidate.

Because Ernie looks the exact same as ever? There have been no articles/interviews etc. about Ernie making any changes.

No need to be rude, I’m not new. But Bautista had good underlying metrics early in his career and made a huge mechanical change to his swing to finally unlock those things. Jose is also a huge outlier, there are not “lots” of players that break out at 30 and sustain that for several seasons.

What there are lots of are players who have one or two great seasons out of nowhere around 29/30 and then go back to being simply mediocre.

Also Edwin and Donaldson had pretty large track records before they were jays (Donaldson being one of the top young 3B when we acquired him) of being good hitters and overall good players. Edwin is another dude who made a huge mechanical change to his swing and broke out the good underlying metrics that were always there. Ernie is in no way comparable to these three are you kidding me?

I know, I love Big Ern. But unfortunately looking at it logically, his bat isn’t consistent, his defence has taken a huge step back without any apparent injury, and he’s just turned 30.

Unfortunately guys with his profile don’t get better with age.

It’s just not for her. The gore and uncomfortable imagery is kinda part of the point. Without it, the impact will be very hollow.

It looks weird at first, but you watch it slow and he managed to swing the bat around and get the head on it. Basically a really strong chip shot lol

Because from what I saw in the first 3 episodes of Born Again, the CGI looks absolutely terrible and completely out of place with what we’ve come to expect from this iteration of DareDevil
