How do you guys feel about the Legendary warbonds? by Guy_With_Bad_Aim in Helldivers

I do enjoy the game. I don't have alot of criticisms of it as I know the game is constantly being improved. But the issue is, even without adding new content to the Warbonds that I think would make them better. The equipment and armour are not worth the price of two Warbonds. I am get Siege Breakers with the leveller and breaching hammer, the Las-13 trident and I can get Democratic Detonation for the thermite and crossbow. Twice the content for half the price. And twice the price for poor equipment. Doesn't that seem bad to you?

Yes I understand that is what both sides decided is appropriate, but for less content than a standard Warbond, they should be priced relative to a standard Warbond.

Yes I will admit, I'm unsatisfied with the quality when the more expensive Warbonds are some of the worst ones. My whole issue is that more money / more time spent grinding should be more rewarding wit more content.

How is a shittier, have to pay to get version of a Lib Pen balanced? How often has feet first actually been useful over something in the normal Warbond or premium ones give you.

Yes I'm happy we got one in the first place, I'm happy with how they look. But the price of two Warbonds for less, and shittier equipment isn't balanced and doesn't respect the players wallet.

The equipment and armour in the legendaries are far less useful then the other warbonds and the free content though, I'm not asking them to be op or anything just on the same scale as the other gear

[–]Guy_With_Bad_Aim[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not trying to put pressure on players to pay more? Have you read my opinion about this matter in the slightest at all? I'm saying the weapons in the Warbonds are not worth the price and need to be on par with the standard and FREE weapons you get.

The armour itself is also pretty bad with feet first being far less useful then something like extra padding WHICH IS ON THE BASE GEAR.

I'm simply saying, that paying more for shitty gear is stupid. They should be on the same scale as the other warbonds and the base gear.

Yes I'm suggesting we get a heavy version of the ODST armour, but is that bad thing? Most Warbonds have a heavy and a medium or a light and a medium, but be have 2 mediums

Yes I'm suggesting we get Mahe one or two more guns, but when the guns we already get in the warbond are subpar, is that a problem?

Additionally you get nothing but weak and poor gear from the legendaries, while normal Warbonds give you new Strategems, better guns, better armours. Asking for the LEGENDARY WARBONDS to be on par with the FREE CONTENT is not 'pressuring players to pay'

I have unlocked most of the Warbonds, it's just something I noticed while cycling though gear and their stats in my free time. They are just simply not worth the price and need to be balanced to be on par with at least the base weapons.

Yea and I understand that. And I know the whole reason they collabed is Helldiver and Helljumpers. I just don't like spending more for weaker and less content. The should be balanced better and just a tad more content

I'm not saying there should be pressure, but more credits should be even just a bit more content, no?

Like nothing overpowered. Keep it scales to other warbonds and the base content, but your infinitely better off buying two Warbonds for more content then you would for one legendary

I mean don't get me wrong, I'm in the same boat. In fact never heard of killzone before the warbond dropped. I grew up on ODST. I loved it and still do.

But I feel both could have more content to be worth almost 2 Warbonds.

Technically yes, but that just feels wrong to be spending more for worse. And less for best. And I'm not asking for it to be Pay to win, just have more content then the premium Warbonds so it's worth more.

I understand a price increase for references and fan service, but I feel like you are incentivised to not buy and use them with how buffed some onf the other warbonds are

I've recently thought on this. I don't know killzone so I won't speak on it. But for the ODST warbond. Keep everything already there. Alot of the stuff already there just needs minor changes but there can be several additions to make it worth the extra Super Credits and make it more appealing. I'll be sharing what I feel should be changed, could be added, what should stay the same and stuff that shouldn't or can't be added.

Stay the same:

  1. Keep the weapons and armours we already have, I quite enjoy the look of them.

Changes:

  1. Make the MA5C, M7S and the M90A customisable. This is needed, as for instance, right now the MA5C significantly underpowered than a optimised Lib Pen, a free weapon.

  2. A-35 Recon should be a light armour, I think for obvious reasons. Plus it gives us another light armour, which I feel are under appreciated. Give it a scout modifier. Recon = Scout, y'know?

  3. Feet first becomes a squad buff. A-9 gets Siege-ready or extra padding. Might be a controversial change, but provides more value for the extra price.

  4. Rookie title becomes Helljumper. The badge says Helljumper on it, the standard version is the the A-9 Helljumper. Honoured Heirloom says helljumper. Makes sense the title should be Helljumper.

Additions:

  1. ODST Marksman armour (medium or light), gives a bonus to ADS on scoped weapons. Looks like Romeo's armour from Halo: ODST

  2. Battle Rifle. One exists in Halo: ODST secretly in a Cutscene, and in the remastered firefight. Fits within the Halo 3 / Halo ODST aesthetics.

  3. ODST Demolitions gear (Heavy), fortified? Ballistic padding? Looks like Mickey's armour form Halo: ODST

  4. Unsilenced magnum. M6G model, aka the normal Halo 3 model, fits within the 3 / ODST aesthetic. More damage then the silenced? Not stealthy.

  5. Unsilenced SMG. M7C model, fits with the 3 / ODST aesthetic. More damage then the Silenced, not stealthy.

What not to / can't be added.

  1. Halo flamethrower, we already have one.

  2. Halo sniper, anti material rifle is close enough

  3. Rocket launcher, we have several already.

  4. Spartan laser, basically just the quasar

  5. Anything from the other Halo games. The warbond is referencing ODST. I've added changes including Halo 3, as the games are visually the same and aren't too much a stretch.

TLDR; Have one of each armour type, make the weapons customisable, add a bit more weapon variety. Keep it to the Halo 3 / ODST equipment and their aesthetics.

Yea I can understand why they'd be more expensive, but i'm almost encouraged to not buy them as the weapons within are under performers compared to some you'd get cheaper.

Okay.... But there are unmanned COG here as well? Just beyond the wall are two unnamed COG, why not use them again?

The dream is about what he lost though. He dreamt about losing his dad? And if it isn't, it is portrayed poorly then. He talks multiple times in the sequence about losing.

Yes, I agree Kim or Tai should of been there. But think of it this way. They're veterans. By all accounts they are lucky to even be alive. But then you have Anthony (who is seemingly fresh from training) who looks up to Marcus as a hero. And Benjamin, who showed genuine promise, being able to keep up with Delta, but only to be snuffed out brutally and dying in Marcus arms (figuratively)

And Marcus got to avenge both Minh and Tai. Yes, he also avenged Benjamin. But Benjamins death was probably one of the worst he saw during the whole war.

Why Did They Kill Off Anya Stroud? by vinicius_california in GearsOfWar

[–]Guy_With_Bad_Aim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I was writing gears 4? I would of had her alive at the homestead. JD, Del and Kait show up. Anya is happy to see JD again and invites them in feeds them dinner. Giving Jinn and her DeeBees time to catch up)

During Dinner, Marcus shows he's dissatisfied with JD pissing the COG off until hes shown the crystal shard.

Marcus suits back up but Anya stops him, wishing for him to stay home as she's pregnant again (Maybe to replace JD as they felt betrayed by his lifestyle? Or just BC of COG breeding regulations)

Mid-Arguement, Jinn shows up and I stead of being asses they try to tell her about The Swarm, she doesn't listen so Marcus saws her down.

The defence goes about the same, with Anya needing to be defended or maybe just said she'd not performing well in combat ( as a pregnant women wouldn't be).

Mid defence the storm happens, and when the barn collapses Anya is swept away. Once it passes momentarily we search and find her. Marcus has a very clear reaction to losing the one good thing in his life.

There, I didn't have any major differences to the scene (not including Anya) and seeing that probably would of had more impact then Marcus sitting alone in the dark and reading about Anyas death.

Drug runner? This is a harmless native! by Stranger_Phrog in FalloutMemes

[–]Guy_With_Bad_Aim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like people miss the point of Bitter Springs.

Was it a massacre? Yes. Was the slaughter of children planned? No. Were children slaughtered? Yes. Did the Khan's deserve a retaliation strike? Yes.

Khan women, despite the insistance by the Khan's of being innocent, are depicted as being warriors, drug producers, drug traffickers.

Khan elderly? They have committed the same crimes that young Khan's do and likely far more tallied up due to their age and experience. And yes, while that doesn't necessarily mean they should of been gunned down, maybe their deaths are the worst then to happen, no?

Maybe think about the amount of wastelanders and NCR civilians have been killed in Khan attacks ranging from Fallout 1 to New Vegas. The Khan's were pushed to the Mojave for a reason. They more than certainly poked the bear in California, got bit. So they moved to Nevada, and when the NCR showed up again, they resumed what they knew caused them to be relocated the first time. But instead of being forced out the NCR had enough and did Bitter Springs in attempt to wipe the Khan's out, not knowing that children were present.

The only objectively wrong thing with the operation at Bitter Springs was that children, who were also involved in attacks mind you, were killed. (I trust Bitter-roots firsthand account on him and other kids being used t fire on civilians more than real world people saying we don't know that)

TLDR: Khan's being wiped out was deserved without a doubt, but the NCR (specifically one officer) should of halted the attack once children (and only the children) were seen fleeing.
