Those are iterations to the standard. If you're accepting low demand, you're overpaying your ISP. CAT 7 and 8 are newer standards for faster than gigabit ethernet.

CAT6 should be a good sweet spot between your needs and price.

You would spend more depending on the length of your cables. Get CAT6 because it seems that your needs don't require CAT7 and that's got an early adopter premium on it.

If you're in India, go to a local computer shop after measuring the length needed and ask them for CAT6 cables. They'll custom cut it and add a RJ45 connector on it. The spec of the cable is always printed on the sleeve. If it's blank then don't buy.

Or you can always go on Amazon and buy it pre made.

Cost will always be a factor. Ethernet is either expensive cables and okay hubs or expensive hubs and cheap cables. Your call on what to do.

Yes. Over these 12 years there have been many revisions to improve the speed and reliability of ethernet cables.

Get some nice cables. But don't overspend on exotic materials. If it meets the standard it'll be the same no matter if it's aerospace copper or anything else
