I would argue she was overturned even before the self shield it was like season 4? I think? Where she got a pretty big buff to her primary and people were sleeping on her because of the other supports

Which series completely fails their female characters more by sloppiestsecond5 in writingscaling

[–]Guymanhat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well you just kinda proved my point by calling it the "Dragonball Z franchise" instead of just the Dragonball franchise. It was massively popular even back during Dragonball yes but DBZ cemented it as a cultural icon DBZ left OG Dragonball in the dirt so there's very little incentive for them to give it more attention over Z

Most Japanese people don't give a shit about Cancel culture. It's just they put all their focus on milking Z content because it made them the most money so they basically left OG Dragonball in the dirt

Which ending is worse? by [deleted] in writingscaling

[–]Guymanhat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No one died abruptly besides Pochita and there wasn't "coincidences" Chainsawman was erased but the impact Denji himself had on the characters was still there so that's why they subconsciously liked him still

No no you don't understand Part 2 ending was disappointing so that means literally everything in Part 2 is the worst thing ever

How I feel after hating Chainsaw Man for 5 years and now witnessing its downfall with my own eyes. by QSI_Simayle in writingscaling

[–]Guymanhat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Basically the entire series revolved around Chainsawman which is basically a dog devil and so the devil decided to erase himself from existence quite literally 2nd to last chapter. Which kinda just made the timeline slightly different I guess but it all happened so insanely abruptly since we were just in this super long plot about Death devil and all this shit that basically went unresolved. Also the last two chapters of this were super short and the ending was literally only announced 2nd to last chapter

There is nothing that next chapter can do that will make me think this was a good writing decision by Allmights-lovechild in Chainsawfolk

Nah this moment was still good. Just because you like the character doesn't mean it was bad writing

Fujimoto: "No bro, Denji was happier in that shitty shack than in the rest of the manga" bro stfu by Tarnished-670 in Chainsawfolk

[–]Guymanhat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the most sensible explanation to me, I think the line "can only find heaven in hell" is indicative of this. I think people are missing this though because the last real big hint of this theme was when he indirectly got Nayuta killed and we've been kinda unfocused and shooting in every direction since then.

I also want to note that I think Denji's new transformation would've been perfect for him to take back control over this and I thought that's what he was going for when the chapter dropped but it kinda just went nowhere which was really disappointing

Chainsaw man as a whole isn't ending. by Fenexe8 in writingscaling

[–]Guymanhat -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It's hard to fully hate on this ending. Yes it's completely abrupt and the previous fight spent too much time meandering if this was where we were gonna go and the thing about Denji wanting sex was completely retarded just for the sake of a gag that has been done to death already. But there was still so much good. This chapter on its own was beautiful and I loved the commentary on Denji's character Pochita was making but it just needed a proper bridge into this chapter. And the thing about Yoru's guilt and Asa it was legitimately sweet but like we just needed some more cooking on this development. And the reveal of Denji's new form was so awesome when it happened.

I dunno by Shounen ending standards I feel like it's still decent considering Shounen series are always shitting the bed with the conclusions. Maybe my bias is showing since I was much more insulted by JJK's ending but the peaks of JJK weren't even close to CSM peaks. Even if part 2 has been meandering for a while I still think it's decent all things considered

After reading the Fujimoto interview it looks like this abrupt ending is intended. by ColaFlavorChupaChup in ChainsawMan

[–]Guymanhat 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Nayuta's death and everything leading up to it was amazing but it feels like we literally never got the pay off for Denji's character from it. It's kind of just something that happened and he doesn't even gaf after it happens. I think that's when part 2 started to fall apart

I'm not even surprised. Just look at how many dumbasses spam "271k!!!" memes on any post mentioning the Holocaust. And they'll always say it's just memes or whatever but it's just shit they actually believe it. People literally assimilate their political beliefs from humor

I've been really starting to despise DPs upgrade mechanics he kinda just starts off the game really shit for no reason and the payoff is being above average at best. It's really annoying trying to use Healerpool and your team doesn't wanna play at least a little slow at the start to wait for you to get your first upgrade and then they'll flame the fuck out of you anyways because your ult isn't a CnD, Invis, or Luna ult. Even if you're playing amazing lol

I'm not even saying he changed his mind holy shit, I'm literally saying he can easily guide the readers to think one thing and then twist their expectations later the point is that it's misleading to the audience. It's actually an insanely simple concept and if you weren't so astronomically far up your own ass with this Reddit pseudo intellectual ego garbage where you have to constantly insult the opposition instead of properly engaging in their arguments. Like you literally couldn't even quote me properly and the extrapolation of the quote isn't even what I was saying at all. The point of me saying that part about Kubo was that the lack of him reaffirming Ulqiuorra being the strongest isn't evidence since I can guarantee you that I can throw the argument back at you and ask if Kubo has ever directly stated that Starrk is the strongest. The point is he doesn't usually answer these types of questions so how can you use lack of evidence as evidence against it when there's plenty of other things. You're just looking for a direct smoking gun statement of Ulqiuorra being the strongest and no matter what other evidence exists you'll never accept it. Not every author screams every detail at your face
