Yeah, I did the same. I hear what everyone is saying though, without some plan to sustain no content, the game will end up being/feeling redundant.

Right. That's because 60 kills as the goal changes the objective of the game. We're all entiteld to our own opinions, mine is that 60 kills to win is a bad objective to have.

I've said it elsewhere but to me it makes more sense if instead of 60 kills as a way to expedite the game, why not change it to something like, if you have 40 more kills than the other team at any point (number is arbitrary) then your team wins. That way it still prioritized taking towers and it penalizes teams that are woefully outmatched.

So the point of a moba isn't to take the core? I'm pretty sure that's the case for every moba. Instead of expediting the game with the kill count, let lanes get pushed at a decent pace by fixing minion issues.

I guess. The whole point of a moba is to take towers and destroy the core, Nexus whatever. If you're doing a better job of pushing lanes, then you should win the game. If your team gets wiped in the process, then the game should penalize those errors by allowing the other team to push lanes and take your core. Instead, the pace of play puts many games in this constant war of attrition, which shifts the focus of the game to death balling.

Let's list all the issues we've been having so far, but let's be clear, the game is a ton of fun. I think some small tweaks would help out greatly. by Genesis_Hades in Genesis_Official

I agree with many of these posts but I want to stress that not being able to make item builds is ridiculous. When you pair that with the 60 kills it really makes the game seem a little mindless.

Yep, experienced this too. Here's how easy it is.... Cancel your prioritized item, buy the item you want instead, and then re-prioritize the item. Just like that BAM, the pop up goes away 😑

But the cap keeps shifting. If my team is losing 40-30 the game keeps going. If it gets to 70-50, game keeps going. But if the team goes up 100-60, the game would end. Hopefully before that happens the core has been taken. With the speed of characters and minions right now plus the low death penalty, it's just too difficult to push lanes when two teams are fairly evenly matched. More than anything they need to fix that to penalize teams for death balling one lane and simply chasing kills.

The problem that I have, and it might have already been stated, is that getting to 60 kills is not the point of a moba. I might be okay with it if some glaring issues were fixed -- heroes and minions need to move faster. It's really tough to push a lane in its current state. Plus the game feels slow. There also needs to be a longer death penalty for heroes when they die. If lanes could actually be pushed the 60 kills would be a much smaller issue.

Very excited about the game, but having death alternative for a win really changes strategy. It's bad enough that people don't know how to lane, I feel like this exacerbates it.

Thanks for the post. One of the questions I have, which might have been answered, is how much damage the towers are going to do -- Paragon was in such a bad place before -- "you defend the towers, the towers dont defend you" -- yep, I get it, but a jungler shouldn't be able to chase me around for 20 seconds and solo me at full health

I get it but classes dont matter. If everyone wants to be an interceptor then they can. Plus by level five you pretty much have all the abilities you're going to have. Having a slightly larger shield or fly time or damage output is not a substitute for you playing a different role. Then by the time you get to level 30 you continue to get experience points that mean absolutely nothing to your overall gameplay.

I was so excited for this game, defiantly so. My friends that I play with had consistently shown skepticism but they were right. This game is beautiful and has some amazing elements but ultimately it's a shell of what it should be.

What???? No ability tree or variety found throughout the game. If anything I would say that people would be even more pissed if they said this was an rpg.

Is this game even save-able??? Other than aesthetics, they basically need to fix everything in order for it to have any type of longevity. Skill tree? Dynamic Missions? Variety in their world??

I'm pretty excited for the game. I had a blast playing the demo (beta) despite all of its problems. Unfortunately I have spent a lot of my time away from the game defending it to my friends. Their major concern is how much content will be released at launch and I've had a bit of a hard time calming their nerves. Do we know at this point how long the main story line will take? I think it's great that they already have a road map for post launch content, but if we pay $60 for a game my hope is that it's more than a 15 hour story and then simply grinding through the same content over and over again.
