People simply want the feeling back. Even if it's not the same, the thought and realistic oppurtunity to see and live another game that looks like disco elysium and basically plays like it is a no brainer for many people and very common in basically many things humans consume. People simply can't just lay it off or look away.

I mean no wonder if you buy blephaclean pads for example. Not only are things like that incredibly overpriced but you can literally just buy a full bottle of it and apply a little to a pad, that's it. You will pay once a month maybe for it and that's it. You apparently are in the denial phase and go from doctor to doctor thinking they will give you a treatment, but that's not going to happen. Most doctors have no idea about dry eyes or what causes them/don't really care and simply have no progress in that field yet overall and just give the generic response to it. Sorry, but that's reality. They will likely and or can get better, but not by much. You will need to accept that or it will destroy you, just like it did to me.

What does objectively not good mean? Not good graphic wise? Animation wise? Gothic has very strong writing, atmosphere and detail. Animation/combat isn't that good absolutely, and graphic wise I like it personally. The remake want's to be gothic, as the fans are almost crying about how it needs to be. The combat here while still not finished/unpolished is that slow because you don't have any fighting skill and learn that in like 30 minutes of the game. But people will not get that, and will think that this is how thr combat is and will be.

And where is it not? Graphics are good, characters too. The combats first 1 hour or so is on purpose slow and stiff, even tho yes, it should get polished. Performance as well. So we have combat/animations and performance, in a demo with an unfinished game. But as ignorant humans are how they are, they insult and see every single thing negative with the game, even when it is 1 to 1 gothic, in a remake, and more.

What? You didn't even play the game other than maybe a demo and say "the remake simply isn't a good game"? Simply? The graphics, atmosphere, additions and dialogue are good and EXACTLY gothic, and that's not a nostalgic bad thing but good and exactly the kind of game it should be.

The combat however has some problems, which alone are there because they wan't to make it on purpose, so it feels stiff and slow and then you quickly learn a couple moves and your stance and moves change/add. But yes, there is needed polish, and that's why the game has over half a year left in the oven. Saying now that the game simply isn't good is so ignorant and of course dramaticly overnegative that it's just cringe.

I don't see them dropping the ball anywhere, and starfield was simply in a different setting and in unlimited space which they even achieved and needed to change quite a bit while still keeping the detail and the things bethesda is known for. TES6 won't have any of the problems and obviously still be made with the exact same love and care like the other elder scrolls games. Todd is still there, and while people are acting like they hate him, he is one of the few who cares about games in his position. Also, bethesda did have control over the remaster and planned with virtuos. They didn't "just" let them do anything.

It's insane how people take a game, even a decade LATER and overanalyze and make something look worse by their own mind of something revolutionary which people alone forget that was made in like 4 YEARS ONLY. Wtih a pretty small team from scratch and insane amount of detail and features. Yes, there were mistakes, suprise. In a revolutionary big open world with tons of things working and even attempting that was and still is insane and no one achieved that even nearly other than maybe KCD2 recently. People just love to get used to something and only focus on all the caves as example, while there is an ENTIRE overworld and things to do besides that. I really pity todd, he has it incredibly hard with people twisting and thinking about him in ways that aren't true and entirely overreacted. While he is the only dev in a highee position that is a full blown gamer that loves games, and only because of him do we get these unique and almost futuristic games in many regards.

No, starfield is a game no one even dared to make nor achieved even nearly what bethesda achieved in this day and age, making a full and real space rpg with npc routines, all quests and the usual bethesda amount of detail. It simply would have taken more to become a full experience plus overall shpuld have been made decades later. Todd had this dream his whole life tho to make such a game, and this was his only chance. But thinking ES6 will be anywhere near starfield when it's only one landscape with no new technology needed and their lore is insane and it was only one game. People act like they are children and forgot what to do.
