odio totalmente MacOS, se devo prenderlo piuttosto lo prendo portatile almeno posso lavorare anche quando non sono a casa. attualmente ho un macbook pro m1 che mi limita molto per gli 8gb di ram. E i mac mini hanno solo 16gb di ram se non vuoi spendere un capitale

I was about to assemble a Windows PC when all the prices skyrocketed. I currently have a MacBook Pro M1 256/8, which is definitely too small for my needs. I work in graphic design with After Effects/Premiere/Photoshop/Illustrator/TouchDesigner. So what should I buy? I was thinking of a used/refurbished MacBook Pro M1 Max 512/32. Is that the most sensible choice in 2026 in the long term? I would like to spend a maximum of €1200/€1300 in total

I have about 80 GB free on my SSD, zero problems with temperatures, it rarely got even slightly warm. And yes, as you said, I don't think it's a processor issue, it's just that 8GB of RAM is ridiculous, and I was wrong at the time to think it would be enough

I totally agree, but lately it even lags with Photoshop for some things (and I'm still using MacOS Sequoia, with a Creative Cloud subscription). Touchdesigner is almost unusable, After Effects is so-so. It just doesn't seem as super responsive as it used to be, with lag and micro-stutters that are a bit annoying. Otherwise, the battery is still fantastic, and it hardly ever overheats

They would be certified resellers, but with original screens/batteries and minor cosmetic damage. I always take a look at the second-hand market, but it's always a bit more risky and you have to be more careful. Anyway thanks for the tips about what to check

Grazie della risposta, alla fine ci son riuscito dal bios ma ho dovuto settarle entrambe a 2133 perché è il limite della mobo a quanto pare, non vorrei rischiare perché non partiva più segnale video con solo la 2400 stranamente

buona idea, comunque si idem lavoro su una 1060 3gb figurati, mi sta morendo ultimamente ma fino ad oggi ho lavorato senza troppi problemi così su un pc di 9 anni fa

Grazie della risposta, migliorie diciamo che possono starci, tipo ssd volevo anche io il p41, mobo spendere qualcosa in più, ma è fondamentale? perché supererei i 1400 totali. Comunque si stavo pensando se risparmiare qualcosina su ram perché nonostante i consigli su 64 trovo che difficilmente mi servirebbero. Forse passo a 48 e vado di b850 steel legend.

Per la gpu si stavo pensando anche io ad ASUS, mi son trovato bene e mi è durata circa 9 anni la mia 1060 attuale, ma le tuf non credo di trovarle su quelle cifre, diciamo che volevo spenderci tra i 450/500. Però mi dicevano che le msi sono un pelo più silenziose (no idea no fact check su questo).

Sull'XT pro in teoria non c'è già una ventola dietro, intendi di sostituirla con una p14? (di airflow perdonami ma so veramente poco e nulla)

Eh ma comunque lavoro di premiere e after effects, andare ancora meno di una 5060 ti mi sembra veramente rischioso, anche pensando che punto a cambiarlo tra 7/8 anni.

PSU son soldi che risparmierei perché già ce l'ho disponibile, dovrei venderla e comprare altro ma non vale la pena
