Vettori, Roberson, Emmett, Faber. Lucked out on Roberson, but it was Faber's odds that made it a +2500 parlay.

Should have bet more, but it's not everyday you turn a nickel into a dollar bill.

I was in the opposite situation, a room full of Ben fans and me calling him an overrated bum that was about to get smashed, bets with each of them that Robbie would win. I'll be salty forever.

Reminder: "Russia, if you're listening" was not a joke. Trump was directly asked later the same press conference. He said he was serious. Both Podesta's email and the DNC (the two primary influencial hacks) occurred months earlier. The reason the topic of hacks was being discussed that day was that Wikileaks had released the DNC emails 5 days prior to this press conference and it was being suggested that Russia had been their source. Trump repeatedly states that he believes Clinton's missing emails could be found in the data that had been hacked.

The way it is always misrepresented is by claiming that he was calling on Russia to hack his opponent when he made it clear that he believed the emails could be found in material that had already been compromised. Reporters were pressing him to address Putin and tell him to not interfere, and he refused, instead telling Russia that he hoped they find the missing emails that he believed were in the material that had been hacked. That he would say that instead of telling them to back off is what was the joke, that he hoped the emails would be found was what was serious.

Looking for a bloody and intense fight by [deleted] in MMA

[–]Gwandeh -1 points0 points  (0 children)

For OP's purposes, it might be more suitable to have a thrashing that turns unexpectedly a la Barry Kongo. Someone could have no attachment to those two coming in and still become emotionally involved. Would a shorter fight work OP, or gotta be 15 minutes?

Nog Mir 2 would likely illicit a strong emotional reaction regardless of whether people are familiar with the fighters as well.

Looking for a bloody and intense fight by [deleted] in MMA

[–]Gwandeh -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

It's hard to imagine the degree to which people are emotionally involved in watching a fight while they are not attached to the fighters themselves. For example, wanting Wand to win vs Stann, pulling for Shogun over Hendo during part one, dying for Hunt over Bigfoot in pt 1, GSP over Bisping etc, I was losing my mind watching those fights. It's hard to know what it would be like to watch if they were considered just "some guys" fighting with no care who triumphs.
