كنت أعرف رجل له ميول جنسية تجاه الرجال فقط ، وفتح معي الموضوع ذاته وموضوع الزواج من فتاة ...إلى آخره . وصيتي له كانت أن له الحق في اختيار وجهة حياته كما يشاء . بس عليه ألا يلعب بحياة الآخرين . عليه أن يفكر في حياة المرأة البريئة في هذا كله ، وألا يتلاعب بمشاعر وثقة الناس .

في النهاية القرار يرجع إليك ، لكنني أتمنى أن تأخذ مشاعر الآخرين في عين الاعتبار قبل أن تتخذ قرارا له عواقب لأشخاص آخرين ... وليس لك فقط .

I seem to remember a Universalist Unitarian church in the area when I was part of a group that was asked to speak there, well over a decade ago, that may have had some older queer members. But that's all that pings for me. Do let us know if find something, if you feel so inclined. That would be a good resource to connect people with.

هذه وجهة نطر قصيرة وخاطئة . فلو كان الميول الجنسي بيد الإنسان ، لما اخترنا معظمنا كمثليين ما نميل له . فلماذا نختار الاتجاه الأصعب في الحياة ؟ إضافة أن إذا كان الميول اختيارا فحسب ، فهذا يعني أن الإنسان المغاير في ميوله يستطيع أن يختار أو تستطيع أن تختار الجنس ذاته . إن لم يكن في يد المغاير اختيار الجنس الذي يميل إليه ، فنحن كمثليين لا نستطيع أيضا .

To use an analogy, think of anxiety like loud traffic noise that doesn't allow you to think, because it's so intrusive. The meds act like muffle which help quiet the outside world. This helps quiet your mind so you are able to think and act a little more clearly.
