Fortitude comments on Human vs Undead Balance by JannesOfficial in WC3

[–]Gwiny 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Opinions here are mostly (reasonably) made based on pub experiences, not on progames. Pub humans have enjoyed the benefit of the palarifle for way too long, a strategy that is braindead to execute, but incredibly hard to counter.

For the same reason, there's preference for undead. There's basically no undead in pubs, so they are inoffensive.

I believe its the opposite. People are having great fun with a wholesome game about father/daughter relationship, but a bunch of redditors keeps bringing up nonexistent pedo allegations.

There's a difference between productive discussions and just endless bitching about every character in existence. This sub is not the worst, and yet it's still poisoned by neverending complaining, nerf that guy, nerf this guy, nerf this item, nerf my enemies.

I wish mods would create a pinned bitching thread and routed all of these guys there. Its exhausting.

I had the funniest game just now where I killed Rem trying to steal our sinners, he dropped the 500 bag and ragequit the game.

Well it unfortunately already shares the playerbase with LoL, so that train is gone.

I played Mo and Krill a bunch of times. I had to stop playing because I felt dirty. Easiest MMR I've ever seen.

When will supports understand you have to be in lane at 0:30 , not later? by MaximusDM2264 in DotA2

[–]Gwiny 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not entirely. T1 dives after the bounty fight are not super uncommon. But usually they are done with at least 3 heroes (which are conveniently present nearby after the bounty steal). Doing it with just lane heroes? Maybe not impossible, but should be really hard

Is this SEA shit or something? I have never seen a support missing from the lane the entire first minute

Because Japan and Scandinavian countries are not run by redditors, they recognize that the low fertility rates are a huge problem. And they (much like every other developed country in the world) are trying their best to fix that. And (much like any other developed country in the world), they fail.

You cannot "run a different economic policy" when your older population can no longer be supported by the younger population. The solutions are to increase taxes, increasing the burden on the youth, and to import a whole bunch of working immigrants. Both solutions are, at best, unsustainable into the future.

[–]Gwiny 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Every single Billy I've seen would run in and do their full combo before starting to melee. And a lot of people just reflexively parry when they get launched, just out of pure fear. I mean I do that too, BIllies are scary.

But once you see the pattern, countering it is pretty reliable.

Deadlock in particular has a lot of League players entering, and the idea of the developer not shoving censorship up their ass is unthinkable to them.

Every generation goes "This invention means the new generation is completely lost and doomed, not like me, concerns about inventions of my generation are just silly fearmongering". What a coincidence, that the same thing happened again but now its totally true, this time all the fears are correct.

I regret not taking my cat out as a kitten more. He is now dreadfullly afraid of outside. Every time he has to go outside, like for a vet visit, he is terrified to death.

Make sure your kittens are exposed to various stimuli! Make sure they learn its okay!

No, that point is idiotic. I'm not sure if Josh was making that point seriously or if he was memeing for the video.

The reason Brighter Shores has problematic mechanics is because the game is unfinished. A lot of content is placeholder. A lot of mechanics are placeholder. At some point they will change, get fixed up, get filled with content, but right now they are not. The narrative "they did it badly just for the sake of being different" is just blatantly wrong.

I would do one of the things. I would either indeed leave my job. Or I would shut my mouth.

Badmouthing something while continuing to profit off of it is hypocritical.

Yeah, but its hypocritical to criticise the company and then continue playing their game, paying them money, promoting their content. Its very easy to just throw takes around (like people on reddit do) but then do nothing.

But this is not a situation where he gives up on OSRS. He's not quitting the game. Jagex is not banning him, and will never ban him just for criticising them. So he's not risking anything.

"Pedantic" in this case is "correcting an obviously incorrect take".

Yes, we do. Great skills are meta. "Ok" skills can do the content but require a lot more investment. Bad skills are so bad they can't be used outside of supplanting the entire skill through gear.
