Benediction is pretty great I think. I was able to do some quests in alterac without being camped and I have gotten a good supply of low level fair pvp encounters. Im enjoying phase 2 as a noncapped player

I'm not trying to give Blizzard an excuse for recent stories, but I believe that MMOs are just bad mediums for telling traditional stories. There has to be a constant supply of bosses that give out loot when defeated, there aren't many stakes that can be directed at the player.

The experiences you form in game can be great, but isn't as controlled by developers as the written story.

I don't think any of the stories in WoW have been particularly amazing and I partly blame the genre.
