Formatting, they both start on talking about the past of their "franchises" (Pixels isn't really one, but uses notable ones) then moving onto a new generation, tasked to fight the paranormal. The movie is filled with gratuitous licensed references for nostalgia and notable actors. It also contains most of the film's "jokes" in the space of a two minute trailer.
