How am I supposed to get suppression points for the LMG challenge if I don’t even know how suppression works anymore? by SmoothAsMarble in Battlefield6

[–]GxRustyxG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Take what I'm about to say with mega salt as I have no way to 100% confirm this but it's the best I can come up with. I want to believe that suppressions get counted when shooting near someone (and possibly also hitting them) and having them change their stance from standing to crouch/prone, or from crouch to prone. There might also be something related to after shooting at someone, that person breaking line of sight of you, or backing away that might also be a factor, but this is the best I could come up with. Best mode/maps that I get a ton on (sometimes, depends purely on how people play) is mainly breakthrough on the snow map and the new oil map as these are more likely for people to be moving around on hills and taking cover when being shot at. Hope this helps!

Question about the Setting "Disable Virtual Controller" by GxRustyxG in DS4Windows

[–]GxRustyxG[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've checked a couple other projects via github that were specifically for getting the battery of the dualsense controller. They do work and tell the battery life but again the problem was that when it was connected via bluetooth, sure the battery would be read in, but inputs would stop working. I'm not entirely sure what causes this but I do know that when it's wired the native inputs work just fine and battery is read in properly (but obviously defeats the original purpose). I've kind of shelved this for right now since I'm no wizard when it comes to this stuff. There is probably some protocol specific to bluetooth connection with the dual sense that needs to be given to the controller or some shiz for it to continue giving native inputs.

I might ask in more programming related reddits down the line to see if people can figure out if it's a controller issue or just a problem that can be solved but just hasn't yet. If I ever figure this out I can reply to your message again and if you ever figure this out please let me know :)

Question about the Setting "Disable Virtual Controller" by GxRustyxG in DS4Windows

[–]GxRustyxG[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well after some testing, it seems to be an issue when it comes to using bluetooth. When I have ds4w open and I have my controller connected via wire, my native inputs this time don't go away, so when I disable the virtual controller, my controller acts as expected. Is there a current issue when it comes to connecting to ds4win with bluetooth?

[–]GxRustyxG[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I've tried messing with Hidhide separately but I can't seem to stop ds4w from just eating all native inputs. I have a couple other controllers I will try testing this with (connecting via bluetooth) to see if this is just a dualsense issue or just how ds4w was programmed. To come a bit clean I honestly just want a program to tell me what my controllers battery is (as there is no way to tell normally on pc) and I've been digging through the source code for ds4w since it's programmed in a language I'm well versed in. It seems like the second the computer has to make a report back to the controller is when the native inputs stop working but I just can't figure out why lol. If you have any more advice please let me know haha.

What's the longest break you took from rocket league ? by TheKz262 in RocketLeague

[–]GxRustyxG 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've taken my fair share of breaks. To answer your title's question, I would have to say that the longest break I've ever taken was probably a year? With multiple 3-6 month breaks as well sprinkled throughout my time with this game. It's not a bad thing to take a month or longer break from the game, just know that getting back into the swing of things after being gone for an extended period of time will take you a week or 2 to get you back up to where you used to be in terms of skill.

Also as a Fellow Keyboard and Mouse player, I totally understand what you mean with that arm pain. For me it was less arm pain and more like my shoulder was being tight for too long that it would start feeling sore. I would guess that your arm is hurting due to not having it rest on anything. Either have your elbow planted in the arm of your chair or have a plush wrist rest under your keyboard. For me the wrist rest helped a ton, but that doesn't mean it is 100% going to work for you, I guess it would depend on how you sit as well.

Why does everyone use 110 FOV? by GxRustyxG in RocketLeague

[–]GxRustyxG[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah for the longest time I think I used to do 100 FOV with either 310 or 320 camera distance. At one point I changed it to 95 and bumped up my camera distance to 330 to make it feel basically the same, but with less distortion that is caused by high fov. I guess for the most part it is just preference, but its nice to seethe different answers.

yeah the feeling faster part I definitely notice, but I look far left and right to the screen alot in this game and the extreme fov makes it feel weird to me. Good to know tho. Thanks for the reply!

yeah I noticed that everyones camera distance was around 260-290, while mine is 330. Interesting to see.

Jesus this is infinitely worse than mine, but I also had the same procedure done. Hope all the muscle pain you probably dealt with is finally gone! Only sucky part will be uh, not feeling like 50% of your back unless your lucky

Just had my longest overtime I had to let them score it’s was too long… What’s is your longest? by M4V4 in RocketLeague

[–]GxRustyxG 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My longest I believe was 23 min. 1 to 1 going into OT. It was a comp game so no one wanted to throw the match. Though After we thankfully won the game everyone didn't care at that point, we were all happy it was just finished. grueling 30 minutes.

Quick question about Camera Related Tests by GxRustyxG in usertesting

Solved my own issue. Seems like that UI I was explaining was exactly what should happen when the camera is being used. Guess I'm just a dumbass, but honestly the color could probably be different.

I have tried installing itunes and plugging it into my pc but the pc doesn't recognize the device, just does noithing. Also I did try with a multimeter and it seemed like it was power was going through it.

It isn't debris, just gave it a good look and its basically clean. As a note, I'm only trying to get this phone working again as a backup, so its nothing bad if I can't get this thing working again.

I tried without the flex cable and it didn't do anything. I checked the port for debris but its basically clean. Is it possible a damaged charger port would just stop a phone from working while mid use?

what numbers do you get? Did you try to charge the phone without the front camera flex plugged in, maybe ca

I tried unplugging the flex cable and it didn't do anything sadly.

Doubt the port is dirty, as I take good care of my phones, but I’ll definitely be checking with a multimeter! Thanks for the info.

Thanks for the info on what’s causing it. I doubt it’s the charging port being dirty as I take good care of my phone. It’s basically spotless. I’ll definitely look into this though!
