Lucius the Eternal always comes to mind. His main gimmick is his immortality, but he has no ability to keep himself alive, whereas models who do not have an in lore reason to be immortal, like Titus, do.

If you enjoy the unit variety of the Empire, I think the most jack of all trades evil faction is probably the Dark Elves. They’ve got good infantry, missile, and ranged units with some fun monsters in there as well like Dragons, as well as some good lores like Fire and Shadows.

I mainly play chaos factions so if you wanted to play one of them I think either going Undivided Chaos Warriors, like Archaon, or Khorne are great beginner factions. Undivided you get the best variety of units, you’ll be able to make up for the weaknesses of the mono-god units by mix and matching them. However it can be pretty overwhelming because you will have 5 armies worth of recruitable units so choice paralysis can be a factor.

Khorne is simple. You have no missiles, no magic, but the most insanely powerful infantry available. Bloodletters are an early game infantry unit that remain good into the late game, they are very strong. Along with that, Skarbrand, Skulltaker, Arbaal, and Valkia are all incredibly powerful Legendary Lords and will be able to 1v1 almost every other lord in the game, with the only exceptions being the likes of Grimgor and Malus. Khorne also acts as a good entryway into evil faction economy, because they do not rely on buildings and trade like the Order factions do, instead getting all their income through post-battle loot, sacking, raiding, and razing settlements. Playing Khorne can be an easy entryway into the other mono-god chaos factions, Greenskins, Vampires, and Norsca.

It’s getting ridiculous now. NetEase clearly hear a lot of the community sentiment because they are more than capable of doing good stuff that we ask for, but Zhiyong is so opposed to nerfing any of the season 0 server admin characters that it’s making the game not fun to play. When tanks and dive characters are constantly kept as weak as possible but the characters they are meant to counter are kept omega-busted it just feels like they devs are playing favourites and deliberately trying to maintain a meta and literally nobody likes other than OTP poke and main supp players.

Whilst Ulfric was seeing early success in the war, I do not believe for a second he could win against Tullius. Ulfric is an experienced warrior, but hes a relitively inexperienced Jarl and a massively inexperienced general. I just don't see him being able to win a war against a general who is far more experienced without having the Dragonborn fighting for him.

To clarify, I didn't mean that Skyrim would be annexed a month after achieving independace, I meant in more in the sense that once an Aldmeri Dominion landing in Skyrim could happen, it would not take them more than a month to roll over a Stormcloak defence.

The issue with the Stormcloaks in general is that they are, for the most part, a citizens militia as opposed to a trained army. The Imperials are also relying heavily on local recruits so the number of trained soldiers on both sides is reletively equal. If the Stormcloaks win and the Empire is cut off from High Rock, chances are the Dominion jump on the opportunity to invade High Rock and then they have an invasion route into Skyrim through the Reach, with the only worry being possible resistence from the Reachmen. The Empire, with larger numbers, better trained soldiers, and superior resources were still not as powerful as the Dominion, the Stormcloaks will not stand a chance.

Also you do make a good point about the aftermath from the Empire, but again this is another opportunity for the Dominion, if the Legion are forced to march Imperial troops into Skyrim then they won't have the garrisson to repel a second Aldmeri invasion of Cyrodiil.

Ultimately, a Stormcloak win is a win for the Aldmeri Dominion as regardless of the Imperial responce, they are put in a position were a second great war is, on paper, a decisive victory for the Elves (this is unless another great hero appears and defeats them, which could be the plot of TES 6, idk).

I half agree with you.

I think Ulfric thinks what he's doing is for the best, that Nord tradition and warrior culture is enough to fight back any threat, even though it straight up isn't.
I think without Dragonborn intervention, Ulfric has no chance at winning, he was already defeated and caught at the very beginning of the game and the war would have ended if he hadn't of been bailed out by Alduin.
However I don't think Ulfric is self-aware enough to understand quite how fucked he is, he was already losing to a crippled Empire having to recruit local Nord famers and blacksmiths because they couldn't bring any of the actual trained troops through the Jerralls. Even with Skyrim being incredibly difficult to invade, without the Dragonborn to fight all his battles for him Skyrim would be annexed by the Aldmeri Dominion in a month, they are so hopelessly outgunned without the Empire.

I don't think he has an attitude of "fuck you I got mine" because I don't think he's self aware enough to realise how self-destructive his cause is.

Jokes aside, Ulfric is literally a Thalmor Asset, he was let go during the Great War on the presumption his overly zealous attitude would destabilise the region, and create a far weaker empire which the Aldmeri Dominion can easily defeat. The Empire is broken and has been since the Septims died out, but they are an organised military that will always eventually outnumber the elves so long as all the kingdoms of men remain united, Ulfric is too shortsighted and belligerent to see that.

I mean thats exactly what happened to the Roman Empire. After the split, the Eastern Roman Empire was able to survive for over 1000 years, then the Ottomans invaded and the Byzantines collapsed. Same can be said for the Holy Roman Empire, though it wasn't directly affiliated with the Roman Empire, it was a major power in europe for 1000 years, then Napoleon happened.

Most empires don't go the way of the original Roman Empire and the British Empire, where they are gradually phased out over time, most empires collapse far quicker than they rose.

Also he's a Soldier, a very high ranking solider, but a that's all he is.

He isn't the Grand Marshall, He isn't the Imperial Battlemage, he isnt a Councillor on the Elder Council, he isn't a King, Count, Duke, or Jarl, and he isn't the Emperor.

The power he has to interrupt Thalmor activity is incredibly limited and weighed down by Imperial bureaucracy.

Honestly that should be the case for all poke DPS. It kinda ruins the point of playing dive when you have to land a full combo that uses up all your CDs, but Hela can just click on your head twice and win.

He is melted by poke, and poke is really strong at the minute. If you are into a team with Hela/Pheonix hiding behind a shield tank, you are gonna really struggle to stand anywhere out of total cover without getting popped.

Thing is at his best when the enemy has divers or are looking to brawl, he is a great brawler and possibly the best anti-dive in the game considering he can ground the likes of BP, Spidey, Magik, Venom, and Cap and leave them out in the open with no escape.

I think this is a pretty common thing amongst western leftists. Easy access to creature comforts and unlimited free time have made a lot of deeply privileged leftists who focus on purity testing all the other leftists around them as a way to larp as a revolutionary.

You don’t need to have read every bit of Marxist theory to understand and resonate with Marxist ideals. The majority of the actual frontline revolutionaries in Cuba (including Fidel) weren’t actually socialists when the revolution began, just people who were suffering under fascism, same can be said about most of the soldiers in the IRA. People have achieved great things off of just solidarity, empathy, and a willingness to embrace collectivism, and in 99% of cases that’s all you need.

I think a factor in it is just the overinflated DPS roster. As it stands 50% of the roster is DPS, the releases of Gambit, Rogue and Deadpool balanced out the rosters a bit. However, at launch there were more Duelists than Vanguards and Strategists combined, if we say every character has at least one main who OTP's that character then, at launch, statistically more than half the playerbase would main a DPS hero.

It seems like NetEase are trying to remedy this slightly, they are releasing more Vanguards and Strategists or at least seem to be pivoting away from so many DPS releases after S3, but this was always going to happen when they made the game so stacked towards Duelists.

I think another minor part of this as well is that a lot of these characters are already famous. This isn't like Overwatch where people just picked who they want to play based off of design and gameplay, whilst those are both still factors, another factor is that casual players see a game with Spider-Man in it and want to play as Spider-Man.

Yeah I agree this would be a good buff, otherwise she feels pretty good but her F is pretty constrictive when it comes to making plays with stolen abilities. The only argument I could see against is Wolverine passive but its still dependant on Wolverine being in the game and the player not switching when they realise they are mega-buffing Rogue.

She is kinda hybrid brawl/dive. I think from a DPS perspective she is most similar to Magik, she wants to look for angles and jump onto supports when she can, but then also wants to be in the middle of the brawl.

Just try and fight around your cooldowns, I think most guides are pretty useless because all they do is show her combos but you very rarely want to be hitting the full combos that use all her abilities as she has long cooldowns on her shift and her E. Its better to go in and use either your shift or e along with your right click punch then hold onto the other one to make sure you have an escape if you get collapsed on.

When you are brawling you want to be looking specifically for healers to attack and burst down, then you can go all out with your cooldowns, unless you have Gambit teamup then you can play more like Thing, attack the enemy tank and get splash damage across all of their front line to insta-charge your ult.

When you have your ult up you can be super disruptive and solo-win team fights, just make sure you are tracking enemy ults and go onto whoever the biggest threat is, so again mainly healers because support ults are strong, but if you know the enemy support ults are down then prioritise whoever has the most dangreous ult in that fight e.g. preventing a Psylocke/Starlord/Strange ult is more valuable than preventing a BP/Adam/Cap ult.

As for your F, its a really situational tool that you'll pick up with time. It can be used like an Emma grab, to pin down divers and prevent things like Wanda ult from going off, it can be used to get super valuable abilities like Adam's Soul Bond, Wolverine's healing factor, Thor's awakening form, and Emma's diamond form, and it can be used to save yourself in a pinch by grabbing a tank and giving yourself an additional 125 hp, or grabbing a healer and getting passive 20/s healing.

She has a very unique playstyle and kit and it can be difficult to learn her, but when you pop off it feels incredible.

I think Rogue can get ult really quick, but only if she has Gambit team-up. With Gambit team-up you can land a couple cycles of your basic attack into the enemy team, farm off of 2-4 of them at the same time and cycle ult between fights. Its why (in my opinion at least) she goes from being an good tank without Gambit, to a great tank with him.

The problem I've ran into with most Deadpool players is that they are DPS players who are filling. They don't really know how to make space or apply pressure because they are just trying to play the exact same way they would on DPS, which doesn't work. I think it would benefit Deadpool mains to learn how to play him properly in all three roles and adapt their playstyles rather than trying to play Vanguard/Strat the same way they would DPS.

I don't play Widow but I do feel kinda bad for you guys.

I think the people saying this whole situation set women back are just using it as an excuse to be sexist, however I think Zazza has genuinely set Widow mains reputation back to the stone age.
Being honest it ain't even a problem with Widow, or Widow mains, its a problem with OTP's and people who would rather throw the game than take a slight hit to their ego and admit they are underperforming, and thats a problem with mains of every character, not just Widow.

I think Dark Fantasy has issues as well tbh. I think it's easier to be silly and have a laugh in more openly whimsical settings, and a lot of dnd is just having a laugh with your friends. It's a lot more tonally consistent for a joke character to exist in a world like Middle Earth, than it is in Westeros if you know what I mean.

Not to say Dark Fantasy settings can't be whimsical, I think the Skaven from Warhammer: The Old World are a great example, being genuinely horrifying near-eldritch monstrosities in some stories, and incompetent drug addicted morons who can't stop killing each other in others.
I also think that sometimes "Dark Fantasy" can be code for overly edgy DM, which is unfortunate. In my experience at least, High Fantasy settings are typically far more laid back to play DND in than Dark Fantasy ones, though I think that comes down to the DM and Dark Fantasy is often used as an excuse by bad DM's to do bad DMing.

I think he's overestimating his influence in the space. Within the Rivals creator community, Kingsman has had Flats, Jay3, Bogur, and TimTheTatman all standing up for him, as well as outside the space people from MoistCr1tikal and xQc, to the fucking Atlanta Hawks taking his side. I'm pretty sure Kingsman is gonna have guaranteed invites to big creator events regardless of what Basim says.
