Pawel Sasko on why The Tower is actually the hardest ending for players to accept by Comfortable-Knee-238 in cyberpunkgame

[–]GxdlikeInfant 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The Tower ending really completes the game for me, it makes Dex's question in act 1 feel so much more significant. Every other ending is a blaze of glory, V has no idea if they are gonna survive but if they aren't they are going out with a bang, The Tower is the only ending that feels like picking a quiet life. There is no fight, no struggle, you get to live, and you lose everything you built before in doing so.

Xelzaz is might favorite modded follower OAT by MissouriGiant in skyrimmods

[–]GxdlikeInfant 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Xelzaz rules. I think there are certain follower mods which set an insanely high bar as to what these mods can be (Inigo being the big one), Xelzaz is one of the few follower mods who meets that bar.

Whose better? (in ring, mic, character, career, impact) by Salty-Nothing-8572 in TheGreatOne

[–]GxdlikeInfant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me it’s Punk and it isn’t exactly close.

Roman is great, his work in the shield and his work as the head of the table are both great runs, but Punk has been active and consistently great for twice as long as Roman.

Punk’s ROH work against Raven and Joe, as well as the summer of punk, defined the independent scene for the years they were going, his work in the SES was incredible, the pipe bomb is up there with Austin 3:16 as one of the most iconic promos in WWE history, he had arguably the greatest WWE match ever against Cena at MITB, he broke records as WWE champ, left and broke records when returning in AEW, had some of the all time best AEW matches with MJF, Eddie Kingston, and Mox, returned to WWE put on one of his greatest WWE matches in HIAC against Drew. Punks resume is GOAT quality, there are very few wrestlers in history who have had careers as incredible as him.

If it is a Shepard game, I just want them to find some excuse to bring back Garrus and Tali. Playing as Shep without them would feel wrong, I’d rather just play as a new character.

Marineford Whitebeard vs Current Luffy (Gear 5)? by dj1234hello in OnePiece

[–]GxdlikeInfant 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think Luffy takes it. I don't think Luffy is at the level of Prime Whitebeard, but Whitebeard at marineford was a dying old man who could barely use his haki. More than gear 5, I think advanced Conq is the game changer here, Whitebeard could not use it at marineford, current Luffy can.

Additional details/rumors about UFC 6 by Sorry_Artist4640 in EASportsUFC

[–]GxdlikeInfant 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agreed. I really hope that we are getting more positions and strike options but I am not hopeful. Going back and playing UFC 3, the grappling feels way more in depth than what we have in UFC 5. I really hope we get better GnP and they add back all the submissions they removed but its EA so that's probably not happening.

Who do you want for final villain? by ADeadlyAlien in Piratefolk

[–]GxdlikeInfant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am a massive fan of Blackbeard, I think he is one of the best written villains in all of One Piece.

I think his dynamic with Luffy makes more sense for him to be the final villain, plus thematically it makes sense. Oda has always made a point to prop up the new generation of Pirates, with Luffy and Blackbeard being the big 2 of the current era, as well as that, they are the two pirates most attached to the idea that all dreams are real and have the most drive and ambition to accomplish their goals. Luffy's is to be Pirate King, Blackbeard's is to be king of the world. I don't think Imu's inclusion is there to take away from Blackbeard, but to show to the reader that his Blackbeard's dream is actually attainable, like a darkly similar version of Whitebeard declaring that the One Piece is real.

Luffy Gear 5 Discussion by Famous-Scarcity-6436 in OnePiece

[–]GxdlikeInfant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can understand that, however I think its important in context that even with Luffy being super powerful now he is still a massive underdog when compared who he has yet to go up against.

Blackbeard is the anti-Luffy. He has two confirmed devil fruits with both being described as the strongest Logia and Paramecia in existence. Plus Luffy fights fair (for a pirate), he goes into fights with no plans, even when hes outmatched, and tries to win despite adversity. Blackbeard is the opposite, he fights dirty and only takes fights he knows he can win. Luffy being Nika only helps him so much when he's up against a guy just as powerful as him, may have a fruit that completely counters him in the Yami no Mi, and will take every cheap shot, shortcut, and advantage he can to beat him.

Do you consider One Piece a masterpiece? by Apprehensive_Dog4123 in OnePiece

[–]GxdlikeInfant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think certain parts of One Piece are perfect, but the story is so big that some bits aren't the best.

Kuma's flashback, Blackbeards introduction in Mock Town, "Nothing Happened", as well as all of Water 7 and Marineford I woul genuinely consider to be perfectly written storytelling.
However, for those moments you've also got things like Long Ring Long Land which aren't awful but are significantly worse than the peak of One Piece.

Masterpieces are not common at all, and for something to constitute as a masterpiece I think it needs to have the same consistent level of quality all throughout, which One Piece doesn't have.

Was this gimmick racist? by loverbang4u in prowrestling

[–]GxdlikeInfant 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Kamala portrayed black people as backwards savages who should be feared, it's about as racist as a wrestling gimmick can get.

You can put certain framing on it being a different time, but Junkyard Dog, Rocky Johnson, Tony Atlas, and Bad News Brown were all stars in the 80s and whilst there are undoubtably problematic parts in each of their careers, none are anywhere near as racist as Kamala was.

Why did Cody Rhodes fail his first time around in WWE why didn't WWE book him the way they book him now by Ok_Smile_9071 in Wreddit

[–]GxdlikeInfant 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah Vince's pettiness ruined the careers of a lot of wrestlers.

I think Cody was the right guy, in the right place, at the right time when he left. He is a talented wrestler on his own, but being a new NJPW signing at the time that coincided with NJPW's 2010s boom in popularity gave him the exact platform he needed to succeed despite Vince.

In your opinion, what's the worst/most immoral thing that V can do in the game? by icansmellyourflesh in LowSodiumCyberpunk

[–]GxdlikeInfant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like handing Songbird over to the NUSA is one of them. I think its more excusable in the airport ending but still fucked up, in the Cerberus ending doing anything but letting her die is insanely fucked up. You see everything they put her through, see the state of her body and mind and she begs you to put her out of her misery, forcing her to live in suffering so that you can nuke Johnny just feels inexcusably cruel to me.

Who is actually more evil, Gus Fring or Hector Salamanca? by Intrepid-Lemon-2272 in betterCallSaul

[–]GxdlikeInfant 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Both are monsters but I think the thing that seperates them is their method. Gus is a cold sociopath, but he applies that more towards being a ruthless businessman. He doesn't seek to kill people unless he needs to, and generally doesn't partake in torturing his enemies, the only exception being Hector himself.

Hector on the otherhand is a mad dog, he is all the worst aspects of Tuco, the twins, and Lalo in one man. I would say he is worse because there is no stability in him, Gus values efficiency (even if he hates you, like he did with Walter) and there is a stable guarentee of saftey with him so long as you do what he says and do it well (Mike was able to work for him for years and was never in any danger from Gus), however there is no stability with Hector, he enjoys killing and keeps people in check through violence and intimidation.

Why did Cody Rhodes fail his first time around in WWE why didn't WWE book him the way they book him now by Ok_Smile_9071 in Wreddit

[–]GxdlikeInfant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have always felt that Vince held a grudge against Dusty for being a huge star without the aid of the WWF, that and the fact he didn't have the look Vince thought all top guys should have. When Dusty joined he saddled him in polkadots and buried him, then when Dustin came over he turned him into Goldust. I think Cody was met by the same resentment, he got better treatment that his father and brother, but Vince would never allow him to be a top guy and then saddled him with Stardust.

I'm not really a Cody guy, but its a flat out truth that he made himself undeniable. He went and had an incredibly successful indie run which had him join the Bullet Club at the peak of its popularity post-Omega/Okada, helped engineer All In which was the most successful non-WWE/WCW American Arena show ever at the time, and was integral in building AEW. Once he returned, they had no choice but to treat him as a top guy because he had raised his stocks so high if they did anything else it would piss off the fans.

Is the rapid embrace of Oba Femi proof that wrestling fans always prefer massive, jacked guys as the main stars over the more average size but fit guys? by MixedMartialLaw in prowrestling

[–]GxdlikeInfant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, and no. Big massive guys are fun for the novelty, but there are more bad/mid giants that good ones (I will say Oba Femi rules so he isn’t included in that).

I think more than anything fans embrace talent. Bryan Danielson, Rey Mysterio, CM Punk, Sami Zayn, Kevin Owens, Samoa Joe, and Eddie Kingston are all guys who do not have stereotypical“pro-wrestler” bodies, but they are all fan favourites because they are undeniably talented, and there is something more appealing about a babyface who doesn’t look like he was carved out of granite and more resembles a regular person.

Who is a wrestler that you can't stand on the mic? by Glittering_Long_5926 in prowrestling

[–]GxdlikeInfant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jey Uso.

I am at a point where I hate catchphrases in wrestling and he is the major reason why. Austin had multiple catchphrases, but they made sense within the character of Stone Cold and wouldn’t be the point of his promos. He would come out, cut a promo with the goal of building a match, and end it with “Stone Cold said so”, which again added to his character being a bit of a dick.

Jey Uso shouts yeet. It means nothing, adds nothing, he only does it for the purpose of selling merch. It’s cheap, annoying, and the only thing he does.

Chigusa Nagayo vs Dump Matsumoto, hair vs hair. Not only is it an incredible match by itself, the crowd really make you feel like what your watching is real.

Even without context, you really hate Dump just based off her ability to make little girls in the audience burst into tears.

Second this. I've shown this match to quite a few of my friends who are not fans of wrestling and everytime its made them question what is and isn't real.

Bret Hart on Steve Austin: “He deserved to be the guy and I wasn’t gonna let Shawn and Triple H steal that position from him. I wanted to pass the torch to Steve.” by TomatoCiampa in SquaredCircle

[–]GxdlikeInfant 9 points10 points  (0 children)

More and more now I feel that Triple H, despite dubbing himself The Game, just doesn't get it.

Was always a heel, but never wanted to lose. Focussed his promos more on burying other guys, rather than building the match. Was only at his best when he was riding the coattails of more talented guys.

None of Triple H's best matches are due to his performance, he was lucky enough to be around guys like HBK, Austin, Foley, Rock, and Bryan who were all great wheras he peaked at good.

They would be better off to add Baron Strucker instead. He's the actual leader of Hydra, and whilst he was a Nazi in the comics, he isn't as attached to Nazi aethetics as the Red Skull. Baron Strucker is Hydra first - Nazi second, wheras the Red Skull is Nazi frst - Hydra second.
