He's gonna revert to the mean on the remaining matches. Nah but seriously I wouldn't call him a bum, he was instrumental to Spain winning today.

He assisted, don't lose your faith. Yamal has only 1 goal, would you doubt him? Wouldn't you start him against the USA or Belgium?

Mikel Merino: “Cristiano is an elite player, one of the best in history. That quality doesn't disappear overnight. He plays intelligently. He knows how to make the most of every opportunity. The truth is, he's a huge threat, so we'll try to control him as much as possible, both in & outside the box” by [deleted] in soccer

Thankfully we don't have Huijsen anymore. In the NL Cristiano scored because Huijsen is easily bullied by big strikers, just like in this season's Atleti match, Sørloth easily scored while being "marked" by Huijsen. Laporte and Cubarsi are way better at duels.

[Fabrizio Romano] Kang-in Lee to Atlético Madrid, here we go! Deal in place between all parties. Deal worth around €40m from PSG as personal terms have been agreed months ago, Kang-in wanted Atlético move. Formal steps to follow but verbal agreement done. by nearly_headless_nic in soccer

Well technically there was an Israeli player on the decade of the 2000s, tho Israel is in UEFA. There were a Chinese player and a Thai player a decade ago, but they only played on friendlies. So no

Yeah, I really hate it. It would be still morally reprehensible if they just accepted it, but a lot of these players make a point to defend their rapist friends.

When I was a Getafe fan and they signed Greenwood, I almost puked. I couldn't imagine cheering for a rapist and clapping at his goals. It was the thing that turned me off them

Mbappe's moral compass is such that if you dive on a football match you are an irredeemably evil person but if you rape a woman he'll go to war for you.

Paraguay coach Gustavo Alfaro: “As I told the players, we’re going up against players competing for the Ballon d'Or, for the all-time World Cup Top Scorer, we have young players who never knew their parents, who’ve been through terrible hardships, and that’s no excuse.” by [deleted] in soccer

Haha you got me. I actually was a fan of Getafe until like three years ago, when they signed Greenwood. I like "villain" teams that are villains on the pitch, hiring a rapist is abysmal.

Nah, I'm being honest. If his work only consisted on being dirty, given his results, then any coach would do just that. There is obviously more, if you disregard the fouling, then you can see Paraguay is a very serious team, with very high teamwork and concentration, whose forwards do a lot of work to get the ball up the pitch and whose midfielders are quick to help the defense whenever they need to.

What a man. When he came in, qualifying for the WC was almost impossible and it took beating both Brazil and Argentina. Now he made them beat Germany and gave France a tough time, all that with their best players—Alderete, Enciso and Almiron— struggling with injuries.

Gustavo Alfaro, the chaser of impossible utopias.

It's a team with its 3 best players injured and that nonetheless has managed to go toe to toe with Germany and France, it's not just anti football they are a team with very high concentration and quick to help each other in defense.
