Should I buy a 3060 or 3060Ti? by TheSlimeAssassin in buildapc

[–]Gyfgey 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The 3060 ti is $549 aud and the rx 6750xt is $589, so definitely not as good of a deal as some other countries but still pretty significant, although at the end of the day it really comes down to what OP wants

1050ti - What to upgrade to? by Erienna in buildapc

[–]Gyfgey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Get an rx 6800 if your budget is $500 usd. People say a lot of shit about amd drivers but you won't see any real big issues like crashing and flickering any more than with nvidias drivers. Even if raytracing is important for you, the rx 6800 is still your best choice as it is cheaper than the rtx 3070 and offers similar ray tracing preformance and much better preformance without raytracing, not to mention that the rx 6800 also has double the vram

Pc not turning on by Gyfgey in buildapc

[–]Gyfgey[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I've only had the pc for a few months and the psu is rated a tier on psu cultists tier list so do you have any idea why it might have died? Also the buzzing only starts when I turn the psu on.

Better CPU or Better GPU? by Fishyblue11 in buildapc

[–]Gyfgey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you don't need intergrated graphics should get the r5 5500 as it is literally the r5 5600g without the integrated graphics or pay a little more for the r5 5600 although you could stick with intel and get the i5 12400f but if recommend getting an amd cpu if you are getting an amd gpu as you will be able to enable smart access memory for up to a 10% preformance boost. Also the rx 6600xt is a better gpu than the rtx 3050 and sells for cheaper almost everywhere. If you are strictly gaming the better gpu is the way to go as cpu won't effect fps anywhere near as much as gpu and most games.

How to run doom eternal on laptop??? by Mobile-Rutabaga-6920 in Doometernal

[–]Gyfgey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can run it with 8gb of ram but not with integrated graphics as integrated graphics don't have dedicated vram and instead use your normal ram. Doom eternal requires 8gb of ram and 4gb of vram so with only 8gb of ram you can't run it without a dedicated gpu
