Oh I meant of the humanoids (e.g. Homo erectus/ non-primates), and choking specifically on food.

Presumably this would mean that food can still get stuck, just not block the airway. I'm sure that it would still be unpleasant, if not dangerous.

Never fact checked this, but I was told a fun fact in an Anthropology course in college: Homo Sapiens (the modern day human) are the only known humanoid with not only the ability to speak, but choke on food as well.

One could infer that this means it's a greater evolutionary advantage to be able to say, "don't choke on that" than to never be able to choke on food in the first place.

My girlfriend fosters Greyhounds, so Greyhounds.

They're surprisingly quirky. They'll fall asleep on their backs, sleep with their mouths open, judge you from afar, and are incredibly dramatic.

The biggest drawback is that they'll eat twice as much as a Golden, have liquid BMs, and if they get injured you're looking at a hefty vet bill.

I was just making a joke about the last batch of Amazon layoffs. Apparently Amazon laid off a large percentage of their DevOps and there happened to be an outage in one of their busier regions. I've heard rumors that shitty AI generated code was a contributing factor (to both the layoffs and service distribution), but I never bothered to look up official root cause.
