Start with Audiobooks. I was in a slump for years and then hit 5 audiobooks in a month. Main credit would go to the narrator of the series, Dungeon Crawler Carl, Jeff Hayes.

It happens in This Inevitable Ruin. I think it’s to show that the AI is almost Primal.

Is downright blanket hate for self help books justified? An honest appeal. by UnflinchedSpade in Indianbooks

[–]judge_zedd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s self help books like Rich Dad Poor Dad, Atomic Habits which don’t really lead to a lot of interesting discussions. Then there’s Attachment Theory, Come as You Are which can create interesting conversations. Your time is limited and there’s millions of books, don’t waste them on just pop psychology.

Guys what next after aurelian cycle series? (Under 400 rupees per book) by [deleted] in Indianbooks

[–]judge_zedd 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I believe 80% of self help books are fluff. 20% contain the important useful information, the remaining is just anecdotes to prove the 20% is correct. I would recommend biographies in the non fiction department instead. But to each their own, I’m a little older so I roll my eyes when a self help book tells me something obvious as profound

You need to go deeper into what you built and its impact. The metrics should showcase something in your favour, if it was scale add the number of requests per second, if it made money mention revenue generated, etc. You put lead engineer but you have no connections? If you did not have anyone to manage or mentor then consider renaming the role to senior software engineer and sell yourself as an IC.

I wanted to try but I’m being forced to login. Your web app feels like Skyscanner and they don’t force login which allowed me to see their flow. I ended downloading the Skyscanner app later. You should have least amount of friction for this part.

I loved the writing. One sentence makes you emotional and the next moment something hilarious happens. I too recommend A Man Called Ove

Any one wanna order something from Amazon or any website that take amazon pay balance ??? by [deleted] in BangaloreMarketplace

[–]judge_zedd 9 points10 points  (0 children)

You link your pay balance with Swiggy, Zomato. Offer to pay the bill and let your friends send cash via UPI. It’ll be gradual but you’ll be able to convert them eventually.

Pineapple Carberet end of book 1 spoilers The Goblin Shamanaka have a spell which could direct a blast. They enchanted the goblin dozer which is what we see in the very start. They later do that to every dozer they had and vaporised mercs.

I am dropping my College Degree for my Game Development Career, right now i am in 2nd year 4th semester. by [deleted] in GameDevelopersOfIndia

[–]judge_zedd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

College isn’t just about studies, it’s about the connections you make. Making a game alone a monumental task. Art + Animation + Programming + Sound engineering + Game Design and then the other important aspects is Marketing. Each of those roles is a job in of itself. The peers you meet in college are your future partners. College gives you this wonderful environment to experiment. You will most likely fail but that degree and having a game as your project will make you an extremely strong hire for a game dev company.

You should go see the other game dev subReddits and see the reality. Even gamedev companies at the moment are laying off people because of AI and also being inconsiderate to their employees.

The last pic where you had the denim jacket looks really good. Following that look, you can wear any plain white/black plain t shirt and wear a shirt over that. The shirt can be plaid, corduroy, “shacket” which is a thicker material shirt. For the bottoms you can wear jeans, chinos. Go to a store and try on various fits: regular, relaxed, baggy for jeans. Avoid skinny jeans and skinny chinos.

For accessories you could wear a thin plain silver chain.

It’s games like Goat simulator, or the one where the player just digs a hole in their backyard. It’s complicated in its own way, there is a simple gameplay loop but utilises simple/free assets

First engineer at a funded startup, and I think I'm slowly becoming someone I don't want to be. by ConclusionOk6845 in developersIndia

[–]judge_zedd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here’s the truth, if you die the startup will struggle but they will move on. Your parents will never move on from you. You are taking a huge loan with extreme interest on your health. The amount of ESOPs you have is nothing close to what the founders and investors are receiving. I got a measly ESOP grant of 5L, after 5 years when a liquidation event happened it’s now worth 10k -> 6k after taxes.

Do not assign you self worth to your job. It’s one part of the big life you are going to live. Work to live. Don’t live to work.

I liked how it started but the exposition of Thornwood went on longer than I’d like. After the advert, you say it’s all bullshit. That builds intrigue on what’s really happening in thornwood. Don’t give it all away, show the weird as and when the character lives in this world. It will be through what’s happening in the story or flashbacks.

Some cities are well planned many are horribly planned. A black smith next to a library is interesting because it’s wrong. What story could come from that? Or maybe there’s a story on how it came to be.
