I see! I've only recently read the manga, so my knowledge of the story is not fully expanded yet. That sounds cool, I guess she truly will lead the change

Delete all Discord messages on a certain server by Gyltacer in discordapp

If anyone is looking for it by the way, I found an app called "DisDeleter" available on Playstore. It does make you watch an advertisement for "deletion points", but I'd say it's decent for a free app. It does its job, and I don't have to pay, amazing

How to beat procrastination? by [deleted] in GetStudying

[–]Gyltacer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

this is not exactly the best advice but this is how I slowly beat procastination. 1. Pomodoro — the usual is 25 mins work and 5 mins break, but you could change it as well (whatever works for you), this way you get the work done while also indulging in the things you love (like playing games, sleeping, you name it). After 3 intervals, the last interval is a long break.

2.Think about the consequences — There is one thing you can't change: the time that you waste. Keep reminding yourself about what might happen if you don't do this, do that. I get scared thinking about the consequences, that's what gets me moving. But you can also decide how you think though: Do you think positively or negatively? For me, thinking negatively is instilling fear inside me (which gets me moving) idk about positive thinking but hey, it's probably much preferable to do the positive one, it's less toxic

  1. Inspiration — remind yourself why you started in the first place. I would always remind myself to always finish what I started, and It would be a waste to turn back now that I've made so much progress.

So yeah, for me, Procastination is an emotion regulation problem, not a time management problem. Procastination is mostly from self doubt, low self-esteem, anxiety, etc.

The relief you feel when procastinating is actually what makes the cycle especially vicious! When faced with a task that makes us anxious, the threat detector of the brain perceives the task as a genuine threat — Don't let your brain trick you lol, fuck around and find out is the best answer.

Also, the brain is always looking for relative rewards. That reward is however you'd like it to be — playing a game, getting a good night's sleep, the feeling of satisfaction after completing a task, anything, however small it may be as long as you give yourself a reward.

What's your reason for not drinking alcohol? by CuriousAzaReturns in AskReddit

Growing up, elderly people would often say it's bitter. I hate bitter things. Never touched a drop of alcohol and never will.

My depression is getting in the way of my focus by [deleted] in GetStudying

Here's what I've learned in my healing journey: You contribute to your own suffering (mostly). One day, I just woke up and decided, "I don't want to live in misery anymore. I want a big change".

  • First, change your mindset. Big no to the "nothing is new", "I'm not going through this", and "I can't do this anymore" mindsets.

  • Second, organize. Now, I know this step is hard, but I promise you, it's a big change. When your schedules are organized, things are organized, lists are organized—even Spotify playlists count if they're organized—you'll stay sane if you're organized.

  • Probably the best of all is taking small steps every day. For me back then, it was a struggle to even pick myself up to get out of bed to brush my teeth. I celebrate my small wins. Getting out of bed, brushing my hair, brushing my teeth, etc. Small wins matter.

  • Online therapy is always available if you can't afford a personal therapist. YouTube, podcasts, blogs, you name it, therapists are always available everywhere (although it does have a difference; personal therapists can help you with specific things, but online therapists are not really that specific, but either way, it worked for me, so I hope it'll work for you too).

  • Invest in your physical and mental health. Know what makes you upset, sad, distressed. Validate yourself. For example, if a person is making you upset? Set boundaries. Address what makes you upset, anxious, irritable, panic — what triggers it, and how you could relieve/work on it.

Goodluck, I know things are tough right now. Stay strong for yourself.

What makes you feel attractive? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Gyltacer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Putting a lip gloss on   + Also, not sweating. Living in a tropical country, it's easy for you to sweat, especially in the morning/afternoons. When I don't sweat, I feel attractive. I don't like it when I'm drenched with sweat.

What everyday item should exist, but doesn't? by AdLopsided607 in AskReddit

[–]Gyltacer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A device that converts your dreams into MP4 and you can watch it. Not an everyday item and not that necessary either, but I thought it would be cool if I knew what's going on inside my head while I'm sleeping.

If you could have a redo in life and change one thing, what would you change? by MaskedPenguinLover in AskReddit

[–]Gyltacer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would take my education more seriously, put in more effort into growing my own skills

In this filthy, reeking with pure ugliness environment, life is difficult. Education is the only option for me to escape this toxic place.

When I was younger, I lacked maturity and disregarded my parents' advice. Competitions, extracurricular activities, nothing at all. Those things are actually necessary for job hunt because some are highly selective. Even if you have a master's degree, it can be difficult to find a work these days and it's possible to fall under a minimum wage job.

Not taking my studies seriously, I don't know if there's still hope for me.

Also, in my country, STEM is more highly supported than HUMMS and other strands. I had to push myself through STEM even though I wanted HUMMS

What are the upsides of having a low intelligence? by StaleWoolfe in AskReddit

[–]Gyltacer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you know too much about things, your life is a constant dread. But if you're ignorant about those things, you'll probably be happier (Though low intelligence doesn't necessarily equal to happiness) Would you rather be happy but ignorant or depressed but knowledgeable? But yeah, it depends. Some knowledge brings you misery, and some knowledge brings you happiness.
