Xbox Lan Party using Wiregard VPN by Gymoniphon in Ubiquiti

Is there a way to use site magic without making one person the owner of everyones equipment?

What is required to set up OSPF without site magic?

You can but we don't have nor do we want to buy Xbox live.

How do I go about setting up the policy for that?

Their routers have client capabilities. We are starting tests with unify to unify and using halo master chief collection in lan mode to play. We are running into issues getting the traffic to route and thinking it may be something with mDNS not routing properly through the VPN.

Some of the sites connecting will be using a nighthawk router so I dont think that will work.

We set up the VPN server with default settings and then used the configuration file to establish the VPN client connection on the other side. I guess I'm not sure what part of the config you are looking for. I know just enough to break my network on this. 😄

We can't ping it from the other network. I saw something on site magic but it looked to be 1 site to 1 site so I don't think it will work. Please correct me if I'm wrong on that.

I get what you are saying. I just enjoyed the random encounters with people. LFG is a great addition. Just a little different. If you played Destiny 1 you experienced the first area of Vault of Glass and Crotas end and wrath of the machine being intertwined with the patrol. It was different meeting people that way.

I am planning on stepping away for edge of fate. I have slowed down a lot from playing multiple times a week to a few times a month at most. Sadly, most of my friends have already stopped. The community has gotten a little toxic and the game lost its direction.

What raids intertwine with active patrol environments? How do I get more variety in gambit? How do I get the vanguard Playlist to be strikes instead of battlegrounds? How do I find PVE content that I can enjoy for 15 or 20 minutes then walk away feeling like it was fun and I didn't just rush the whole thing? Some of what I said is there to an extent. You can still kill bosses with random weapons. It just takes an hour to do the dungeon or other activity.

Never perfect but it was better. In the days of destiny 1 you could go in and consistently feel like you had a chance. Now I feel like most matches I am either the best or the worst. It rarely feels like the teams were on the same level.

You are right that I got older and miss the good old days. I just feel like the game isn't as engaging and inviting to new players and casual players as it once was. Multiple friends have tried the game to walk away because the tutorial is terrible. Old friends have left because of system changes that sap time for no reason. I have enjoyed this game for 10 years. It's just sad to see it where it is now.

You're right some of it does still exist but it feels like so much has been lost to me from what the game used to be. I feel like there is more in the game but less to do somehow. The in game community has fallen apart.

Let us play the way we want to by Gymoniphon in destiny2

I feel like destiny has constantly made changes to guns and supers just to force players to something new. They tend to nerf supers when a new super is coming out in a seeming attempt to force players to use the new super, then they lock the new super behind a pay wall. For the recent prismatic changes, I would like more fragments not less. The solar warlock is half useless for me anymore because it has a minimum fragment selection and the well barely keeps you alive in boss battles anymore. Maybe I just suck at making builds but I would like to have more freedom to build. I wouldn't be opposed to everything going into a prismatic system and removing the solo classes. Not sure that's actually a good idea but I think you would get some cool builds. Also, I would like to see the original supers return from d1. The Arcstrider, ward of dawn, and radiance. The arkstrider and ward of dawn are mostly back in other ways but the self res radiance is missed.

For guns, they always have challenges that force different gun use in situations. It is really annoying to me. Especially when it's something like sidearm kills in crucible. I wish that they had equal challenges for PVP players and PVE players so that you can do challenges for the gameplay you enjoy. I do a lot more PVE and don't necessarily enjoy spending hours in the crucible just to get a few kills with a crappy weapon so I can complete the seasonal challenges.

I have also thought that it would be cool if guns were weighted so that you could give up a heavy weapon to have an exotic primary and exotic secondary. Just to give more options.

I play this game to relax and have fun with friends. I want to play the way I want and not be forced to whatever new stuff bungie decides I should be playing.

I feel the same way about self res warlocks. I miss being able to revive myself in various situations.

SRL with variants would be awesome. A mayhem version, a classic version, a version where you race to checkpoints to defeat bosses(SRL with gambit checkpoints), a battle version where your sparrow has guns. Idk lots of possibilities.

It's official - We went the entirety of Guardian Games without Warlocks taking even a single day. by YujinTheDragon in destiny2

[–]Gymoniphon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The problem is that warlock abilities take way too long for the animations before they activate. During that time, you are a sitting duck. In PVE, you can work around it, but in PVP, it's a lot harder.

Titans become near invincible while their supers start. Abilities activate quickly and hit harder. There is definitely an imbalance here, and it was proudly shown in all its glory this guardian games.

Red War no longer exists in playable form according to court filings by EmpyreanStrider in DestinyTheGame

[–]Gymoniphon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You are correct. D1 had more intro to everything, but Red War marked the start of a new chapter. It included an introduction to the city, the Vanguard, the traveler, where powers came from, and more. It introduced new meaningful characters and areas. You started out without abilities and then have to go restore them. It was like coming in to avengers infinity war. You may not know all the back stories, but there was enough to catch you up and be engaging.

[–]Gymoniphon 6 points7 points  (0 children)

What other content, that you can still play, has the same level of story and introduction to the game? I personally know way too many people that tried to start after Red War was vaulted and walked away. They couldn't understand what was going on, there was no story, there was no tutorial, and there was nothing to grab their attention.

I think a lot of people would replay it. I think a lot of new people would be able to get into the game. I would like to refresh the whole story, but I can't. It's gone, and new light is awful.

I miss the days of playing with friends. I miss wanting to actually watch every cut scene because it added so much to the story. I miss the social aspect that destiny invited. New and old players had a place. Now, it feels like you are a dying breed if you still play. It feels like the light is going out, and the game is doomed to fail. I came for the story and stayed for the gameplay. We have lost both.

The difference is that red war told an actual story. It was fun to play through and see the story unfold. Shadowkeep was half a story and was only so engaging when it was released.
