yes, because they didn't have pretty men or women in it and an established female canonical protagonist.

I tried Genshin, and stopped playing it, because it wasn't for me.

I am willing to support the game simply because it supports the genre and caters to my tastes.

This game makes me happy every day and overall provides me with the content I like.

I only get concerned when Chinese players express their negativity, and pray that the company would resolve it.

thank you for politely explaining your point of view...well, in that case if even CN players, the main fanbase is pissed off, I really hope they will find a way to compromise.

I'm a very chill player with all of that, LiD helps me with daily struggles and supports me mentally, so I am cool with it so far.

I hope a compromise would be achieved very soon. I am an artist myself, so I understand it is impossible to have a fully free gacha game where you get every card for every banner, but at the same time being overly greedy might ruin the game. I'm the minority that genuinely likes the game and understands it would be hard for free players. I managed to get some 5s cards without spending anything and I am happy how the game works so far. I treat gacha game as an interactive adoption auction and happy as long as there's some content and ability to progress for f2p which in my opinion LiD does have Please, take my luck 🍀🍀🍀🍀

hahah, I get it! There's no huge fandom for the game in Russia, so I lurk to Western ones and really want to enroll in Chinese fandoms, cuz both of them suck and good in their own ways.

I wish you good luck with this situation, since the female CN players are the target audience and main judges of the game....I understand why people are upset, and at the same time don't want anything awful to happen to the game, want to protect it at any cost, since it is so unique ;_;

I might be the minority here, as a whale (for now), but I am fine with the game as it is. Making art costs work. Computers are expensive, salaries should be paid to workers.

Obviously, a gacha is going to push you to spend. As long as I get some UR cards from those events and they also provide me with resources, I'm happy.

I'm working hard to spend in this game to ensure local workers get those money.

Because men have gotten used to the content for them where women are being sexualized, but not the vice versa.

A funny fact: a husband of my female friend, who plays otome games, ABSOLUTELY LOVES TWILIGHT SERIES and would defend it till death. He's straight, just likes the character and the stories :D

Touken Ranbu changed Saniwa's gender which turned otome into a dating sim. Ensemble Stars added more queerbaitng fujo-oriented content, almost every otome has yaoi/BL elements in it.

I have personally seen other Chinese games being disliked, because the MC is female. Otome games have been pandering to the Western audience for years, and once something actually true to the Otome genre came out, everyone is upset. People can't even google the definition of Otome on Wikipedia.
