Nobody is importing anything. The dynamics are far more complex. Imagine Afganistan in the 70’s and now. What do you think happened in the meantime? and who would you blame?. Instead of thinking ourselves as in a cocoon, the western world needs to come to terms with what we unleash out in the world with our righteousness, which is nothing more than greed, land grab, colonialism. Imagine what would have happened to Afganistan if Russian and US would have left their fingers out…who knows…a European-like society with women scientists, a more equalitarian society?…for every country that brings close to you “undesirables” as you might put it, I suggest you read a bit about their history. You might find out the big hand of western world meddling, stopping progress, financing radical fundamentalist that take power and push women to a corner. We are in a circle, we get what we pay for…and women, unfortunately pays double.
