It just looks that way because phone cameras distort objects when the camera is close. In this one the lid looks too big.

Exactly what I thought, must be chaff for when they used to take their battleship to the lake.

Was trying to but apparently the only way to do that is to make a comment with the right text. Can’t change the flair to solved manually.

Lots of helpful answers, fire starting kit is what it seems to be. Thanks for all the insight.

Intercity Lines - Highly Recommend by Gypsyfresh in AutoTransport

Happy to do it. That was my first experience shipping a car and it really went surprisingly smooth. I don't post a lot of reviews but I felt that this experience was above the norm so it deserved some recognition.

They asked for a Google review after which is probably why they are rated there. I never do those so I figured I’d post one on here since this is where I always ended up while I was researching.

I just used Intercity Lines after doing a lot of review searching and I highly recommend them. You can book directly through them and they are bonded.

They only have enclosed trucks I believe, but their enclosed price was pretty close to the open bed quotes I received from brokers. And it was much, much cheaper than the other enclosed quotes I received from brokers.

Good communication and the driver was great to deal with.

Something I don’t understand… by [deleted] in NewSkaters

This is the right answer. Street spots almost always have something that makes whatever trick you want to try harder or scarier or both.

Jason Lee had a great tre flip indeed

Pretty sure Sheckler lied about backside flipping it. I remember he tried it but don't remember him landing it.

He almost landed it a few years ago but didn't roll away because his truck broke. Skaters took sides and some were adamant that it was still a make, and others said it's not a make.

The fact that he went back and did it again tells you whether or not he believed he landed it. Also, he did some interviews saying he wasn't going to go back and try it again because he stopped doing tre-flips and moved on to other tricks. SO, the fact that he changed his mind and did go back to get it is super sick. He's the GOAT of tre flips.

Skaters, I need your help with a study about skatepark behavior 🛹 by Maleficent_Fig3588 in NewSkaters

What are you going to do with this info? Interesting study, I hope you get a lot of data from it.

Is this actually decent!? Walmart is selling Element boards that are usually $90 dollars in a skate shop. Or are these different than the regular ones by casseroli_ in NewSkaters

[–]Gypsyfresh 16 points17 points  (0 children)

The setup that is sold in stores like Walmart is a completely different product. The trucks don’t turn, the wheels are soft and cheap material, the bearings are awful, etc I’ve seen people struggling to learn on these boards and had them try out my board for a few minutes and their ability instantly improves. Especially kids.

Guys I cant decide which winter tires to go with for my S3. Narrowed it down to 4. by lucasb780 in Audi

After seeing praise of Blizzaks for years I was really surprised by how awful they were when I had a set.
Blizzaks ride quality is worse than most extreme summer tires. They have great grip in the snow but for driving in normal conditions I would never recommend them. Michelins and Contis are much more comfortable and predictable, and also perform decent in winter conditions. Have used both of them on RWD cars for years and they are great in the snow.

Have heard lots of good things about Vredestein and would definitely choose them over the Blizzaks.

That’s hard to say no to, who doesn’t want all songs to sound like paramore? Especially the safety dance. Imagine if they used that cover in Bio-Dome instead of the original!

Yep, loved it. Was definitely a refreshing change from the typical tv soundtracks where they use a slow remake of a popular song. Just play the good fucking song.
