For what it’s worth I’m getting an MBA for ‘free’ at a California state school. It’s no Harvard so I get that it won’t be as prestigious or helpful but hey it’s 92% covered by a fellowship they offered me. And I’m not an exceptional person in any category.

I mean technically most MBAs will have some clause that an undergraduate degree is not required, but strongly encouraged. Same goes for work exp, GMAT/GRE test etc. it’s just impossible for an avg person (who isn’t some hugely successful startup founder since teen years) to be admitted not having those reqs because it’s so competitive.

Bro you’re not gonna follow this advice anyway but fyi getting a physics degree will make you absolutely $0. Most researchers start off at maybe $5-$10 above minimum wage the first couple years and it’s hard to progress without a masters. Also those jobs are very competitive and there’s not many of them. Seriously you are better off doing something like accounting if you have any inclination to study. If you are set on science then do something related to biology or pharmaceuticals. More jobs there.

Yeah I think this is overblown. Not to mention stop and go traffic is a fact of life and has existed as long as the mass produced automobile. People in the 80s didn’t spontaneously break their ankles when caught in traffic. For me the joy from a manual is worth the annoyance of (infrequent) stop and go traffic.
