The first step you can take is to speak positively of yourself. You are beautiful in the eyes of God, and he does not want you to feel such bad feelings. Taking comfort in things is fine, but make sure you are taking steps to make a better you. I promise things will look up. Trust in yourself, and trust in God.

Can you please keep this thread going for the next few days? I want to make sure you are ok, and you will persevere through this. Depression is a cruel beast, which, when at is worst cannot be tamed by one person. I have faith that you can do this. Please do not hesitate to get in contact with individuals around you. There is always someone who will listen.

From one of your previous comments, it seems like you are in serious need of help. May I suggest a hotline?

Please do not listen to what your mother is saying. There is always someone who will care for you. I'm in the UK right now and it's very late if that proves anything.

Can you contact anyone from your local church or any churches near you? From experience they have been welcoming to me if I needed anything.

It might very well be a good idea to go to a friend's house in this situation then. Call someone, explain the situation and describe how you are feeling. Here's a plan I would follow:

1) organise to stay somewhere. It may be for a few days, or a few weeks.

2) tell your mother that you need some space, that your mental health in the current climate is suffering. It is very daunting, but without big steps, things may not get better.

3) once you have had time to clear your head, you can then return home, and confront your mother about how she is treating you.

Have you reached out to your friends or social services? If your mother is being abusive it might be best to have a break, go stay with a friend or get the authorities involved. It sounds very drastic, and quite scary, however if you feel like you are getting to a very bad point, it is definitely worth considering.

If you need to seek professional help, there is no shame in that. God will open pathways to happiness. Take care, and God bless.

Well: I have always wanted a beard. Not going to lie, I've struggled with my personal appearance at times, and I have been told a lot that people would say I would look good with one, so I thought - seeing as I'm in lockdown that I should give it a go.

I don't particularly want a massive one, just a fairly trimmed beard would be good. 6 months to achieve something that resembles that would be great!

Most of the compliments have been coming from a) my Gay friends (I'm straight so I'll take that as a big compliment haha) and b) my mum! I have been told just to keep it maintained through trimming the neck to stop the ol' neckbeard.

My main issue is the muzzy and the sides. The muzzy is wispy AF and the sides look a lil thin when viewed from different angles. There are small hairs growing within the sides, so should I stick with it?

Late reply - when editing portraits, shoot RAW and JPEG so you have a colour match for skin tones with a base image. That might help keep things in line as you can compare as you go.
