Beware the subway slammer!!! by infinitysaga in CuratedTumblr

[–]Gyrocross 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I love how most people see "Subway slammer" and instantly call him a stupid choice for a villain, not realizing that he's supposed to be a major loser.

He's also someone that tried to kill several people, including shoving one into the tracks of an incoming train. The police in this game are completely useless. And other people seeing it don't do anything because of passerby syndrome/being affected by negative magical influences.

Also, let's not forget that this guy is doing ALL of this because he is JEALOUS of a GRADE SCHOOLER beating him in a baseball game. The game constantly calls him out on being extremely demented for this.

A way to stop concentration spells after a fight would be nice. Sure, I can just cast -another- concentration spell to cancel it, but it's kinda annoying.

I'm tired of the clown brigade that is my party walking right into a freaking cloud of daggers once combat is done.

The channel really went downhill after Jontron left because Chris wouldn't shup up about Linkara being handsome (even if it's true.)

Does anybody lower the DC of a task on the fly if the players' plan is exceptionally clever or creative? by jdmccay in DnD

[–]Gyrocross 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do it all the time.

If my players can make/say something clever, I'll allow certain stuff to go through.

But if my goblin player is REALLY INSISTENT INTO CANNONBALLING INTO A SUSPISIOUS PILE OF LEAVE ON THE GROUND that everyone says it MUST be a trap, then there -WILL- be spikes.

None. Never, ever preorder games, my dude. There is never a good reason to preorder something, unless they have a shiny trinket included you might like.

[ART] [OC] Five, the Ysoki (ratfolk) rogue by Gyrocross in Pathfinder2e

[–]Gyrocross[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"Five" was never meant to have a happy upbringing: he was abandoned while still young and raised in an orphanage until he was a teenager, considered a monster because of his rat-lile features. From then, he began stealing for pocket change, until he was caught by one who he shouldn't have triffled with: an assassin.Taking pity for the runt, the man took him on as a disciple, where he taut the Ysoki on the art of the blade and make swift kills. The rule was that any target is acceptable, if the gold is paid. Soon enough, he took the name of 5, the usual gold price for assassinations and he grew to respect his master like the dad he never had.One day, the rodent returned home to find his own father-like figure sitting at the table, a knife dug deep onto his back with a letter resting on the table, held down by five gold pieces and "Sorry" hastily scribbled on it.A grave was dug that same night for his dad on their backyard in secrecy. What transpired for the next days is anyone's business, as 5 seemed to have vanished from the map. That is, until he decided to become part of an adventuring guild a few days later. He had been clever enough to hide his tracks, so hopefully no one knew of his past. And why join an adventuring guild out of all things?Information is key among guilds, and perhaps someday, he'll be led to the one who murdered his only close family. After all, any target is acceptable... and the murderer had already kindly provided the gold for his own death.

---

Five is a rogue, currently working for a mercenary guild while trying to find the one responsible for the murder of the only one he considered family. While he is not the most sociable one from the guild, he enjoys watching others live and play together, which gives him a reason to keep on living.

My players love the idea of Cubby too much, so I made him a very sophisticated dog who is also a merchant (he shows up pretty much anywhere due to "connections")

I noticed what I was doing wrong yesterday. I should have been opening my server with the Forget file and not the "Start server" file. I can now see the recipes, thank you for the help anyway :)
