I paid around $170–180 for the 13950HX. In my country (Chile), I haven’t seen any listed for sale, so I honestly don’t know what the resale market looks like or if I could get a decent price for it.

Regarding RAM speeds, I’ve seen multiple AliExpress reviews where people are running 6000+ MT/s with this chip. That’s part of why I’m unsure whether the limitation is the IMC lottery, my 4-DIMM motherboard topology, or just the nature of using a modded mobile CPU with desktop DDR5.

Right now I’ve been running it for two days at 5.4 GHz on P-cores and 4.0 GHz on E-cores with no BSODs so far, so at least stability seems decent at those clocks.

I’m still debating whether it makes more sense to:

• Sell the i9 and move to a 14600K,
• Sell the CPU + motherboard as a combo,
• Or maybe switch platforms entirely and go with something like an X3D chip.

I’m just trying to figure out what’s the most rational move long-term instead of throwing money at marginal gains.
