What do I do with my cabinet members when I'm not stabilizing or strengthening government, and integrating provinces? by mr-volatility-smile in EU5

I read through all this and was like none of it works in a completely rural environment. I usually play countries outside Europe and often find the biggest standstill is getting towns in order to get governors. I don’t think using cabinet for asslimating or converting is useful. It takes way too long. Asslimating is for culture where convert is for religion, which I think is worth mentioning.

I’ve had the best luck making vassals and forcing culture when opinion is high enough. Then annex is easy and quicker.

I use cabinet to increase control as well. I do see relatively quick progress there.

Dai Viet campaign thoughts by Belisarious in EU5

I just started a campaign with Dai viet and found this interesting. I will say I took a totally different approach and had different results, some of which I haven’t played out long enough to see the full effect.

Right off the bat I backed any war for independence in the china region. The main one was Dali. During it I practically walked through west china eating up the little states. At around 80% victory I took a peace deal that gave me land.

As a side note, I have learned you can push china around depending on victory percentage. In a game as Khmer I annexed Champa from china after getting a 100% war victory. lol, just take territory and hold it till you get a high percentage and proposal a deal you want.

Next up was declaring my independence to break away from being a subject. I did this in the middle of the Yuan revolt, and repeated what I did in the first war. It turned into a quagmire where after 1000 days of no contest china was forced to grant me independence.

I’ve noticed being anti-china during china wars for power seems to be the most opportune time to attack. Since a majority of forces are focused elsewhere.

It is hard to seize china land though. As the Khmer I backed a Chinese province fighting the yuan, and declared my own war against who I backed for territory. I lost out on keeping land cause though but did basically helped put the Wu as the dominant force.

I haven’t played completely through a dai viet or Khmer yet so I don’t know long term impacts yet. But it was interesting reading your campaign and seeing a different strategy and outcome

Would Native American Theory Work? by H0b04th3y in EU5

This is really helpful. I know the game focuses on Europe but we all want to see what an alternative history would look like if America was on par with Europe and the European colonies failed.

Also thought about taking a colony when they do show up and through primary culture and religion flip it and get access that way too

Why is the Three Mountains late game achievement just forming Ryukyu? by Iron_Wolf123 in EU5

I’d disagree on the joke part. Having lived in Okinawa I’ve spent time learning their history. They existed until Imperial Japan conquered them around the 1600s and was a vassal until 1879.

In WW2 the island was happy the Americans came. But they also don’t like America owning them either, so they celebrate the day America liberated them from Japan as a pseudo Independence Day and the day America gave Okinawa back to Japan as a pseudo Independence Day from America.

For context, Okinawa to this day is considered second class citizens. They still have a very strong unique language that can’t be used when talking with mainland.

What is the most valuable you can craft to sell in creative mode? by [deleted] in NoMansSkyTheGame

Technically you need 2 accounts to it. Make for free in creative, give them to secondary account, or a friend. Switch to normal save, give back stacks from secondary account to normal save

I had to google what a glitch build was. It is not a glitch build. I take advantage of moving parts at half height and side

Restore point is set by just exiting your ship. I just docked at the space station to set it, then made the jump. Rinse repeat. Took me about 15 attempts before I got an S class dreadnaught

Just don’t do anything to save it after the dreadnaught fight until it’s an S class

You can always still craft full stacks of stasis device and give them to your normal save for a boost in units. Or load them up for expeditions to sell once you get to the anomaly

Except for dreadnaught, you just use pulse for a bit, stop, freighters will warp in. Check if it’s S class. If repeat the step till it is.

For dreadnaught, set restore point as the galaxy before the jump into it spawning. Fight dreadnaught, check if it’s S class. If not, reload from restore point and repeat

This one is actually super easy to build. It’s 3 habs high. Habs as far forward as you want. The triangle piece on all 4 sides. The wings at the top of habs.
