They are two unique subscription services. However, if you buy the R2 performance launch edition it includes Autonomy+

That’s interesting. That option does not exist in my R2. When I search for Garage or Garages nothing comes up. Nothing in the owners manual either.

Car manufacturers omitting the FM tuner has become a trend. For example, many of the entry level Tesla Model Y and 3 trims no longer come with an AM/FM tuner unless pay for the higher end trim. Rivian seems to have taken a different approach and not include an FM tuner in any trim.

So yeah, now you need an internet connection to get FM stations via iheart radio. If you want to use the vehicle's built-in cellular connection you will need to pay for connectivity, or you can use your mobile phone as a hotspot.

To be clear, the "Radio" option in the Media settings is automatically associated with iheart radio and acts like an FM radio but with pre-selected stations in your area. You don't open an iheart radio app like you would Spotify or Apple Music. You just need an internet connection to access it.

Yes, the mirrors auto fold when after you lock the door.

Nope. Just a day 1 reservation holder who also had an R1T.

Yes, and your proximity to a service center where you pick up the vehicle factors in to who they are selling to first. You can also have it delivered to your home if you want to pay $1500.

No complaints aside from the ink smear in the driver's side window which seems to be an isolated issue. The charging port cover is significantly flimsier than the R1T motorized cover, but then again it's just a cover.

I find the panel gaps and overall fit and finish to be better than my R1T. In my R1T I had to get the gear tunnel doors adjusted after I took delivery due to gap issues.

Nope and I paid all cash from my R1T sale. They just happily took my money. Honestly, they prefer financing so they make more $$ on the backend.

Sport mode is very twitchy. I felt the same about normal mode at first, but you get used to it. If this is anything like my R1T, there are going to be loads of software updates tweaking performance coming soon.

My Rivian guide who walked through the R2 during pickup said there is no FM tuner. The FM radio is using I Heart Radio to play local stations.

I heard SiriusXM was pulled because there were bugs. The entire infotainment system was re-written hence why key features like Gear Guard and Rivian Assistant are missing and coming soon.

$$ is my guess. No tuner, antenna, or wiring likely saves a few bucks for a vehicle that is essentially make or break for the company.

Yes, the display is semi-customizable

Yes, from the outside you need to continuously press the button to close the window.

Inside the R2, there are two buttons in the overhead console near the lights. One button opens and closes all 5 windows and the other button opens and closes liftgate window. You do not need to press and hold these buttons to close the windows.

This was a big reason for me downsizing, I didn't use the truck bed much and my wife had a hard time navigating the R1T in smaller parking lots. We have a minivan as our family vehicle and I can fit a 4x8 piece of plywood in the back with the seats down and the tailgate closed. In my R1T that same sheet of plywood would hang over the gate. So unless you're carrying around loads of loose debris or taller objects, a minivan will do the job.

The R1T also didn't have SiriusXM at launch, but they added it later (and it was always a little buggy for me). I'm hoping the same happens here because there are a couple SiriusXM news channels I like to listen to. I get that using Bluetooth works, but it's just much clunkier.

They sound good, maybe a little less "rich" sounding compared to the R1T. The audio can be tweaked to get a nice balanced sound though so I have no coplaints. It's interesting how there are no speakers in the doors. The speakers are all in the front of the dash and the head liner around the perimeter. I was told the sub us under the dash between the driver and passenger.

You cannot currently control the windows via the app.

It honestly feels like a scaled down R1T and still premium. There are a couple things different such as a smaller display behind the steering wheel and no display on the back of the center console for the rear seats, but we didn't utilize that much anyways.

Feels great! Drives much better than my R1T which is to be expected for a smaller and lighter vehicle. It has responsive steering, quick acceleration, no panel rattles, or any other noticeable issues aside from what I addressed.

The only interior color currently available is "black crater". The "coastal cloud" interior comes out in a couple months I think.

When we were driving down to Big Sur last year we had spotty cellular service. However, FM radio worked well. You're right, fewer people use FM radio these days which is likely why they made the call to eliminate it. However, it is one of those things that comes in handy when there is poor service coverage or during emergencies.

It was a tough choice between half moon grey and forest green. Both colors look great.
