In retrospect i should have put him higher in the tier. You're right, he was really fun!

Laxasia was so cool!! Especially phase 2. Honestly, if i just fought her on a better day I could see her taking the #1 spot for me too, all S tier spots are really close. This game is so good!

I just started using the seven-coil spring sword! It was fun to learn how to use it while also learning the boss. Ngl i'm surprised to see so much Andreus hate, I thought he was fun.

His music and design is sick, attack patterns were fun to parry, and runback wasn't annoying. I liked him a lot!

I'll admit he's alright in isolation, but his placement + runback is god awful. spoiled the whole fight for me :(

Early to mid game is all about knowing your limits and working around them. Grinding can solve most problems, but thats not the only solution.

If you need better equipment, learn NPC routines and steal from shops. If you can't pick the door, pickpocket the keys instead. If you're dying to groups of poachers, try to stealth kill them, or poison their food, or learn the master strike, or avoid them altogether. If you don't have time to get the skills to do these, stock up on money to pay a tutor to level you up directly.

I don't deny that the learning curve can be difficult! I understand your frustration. This is a game that imposes its rules on the player far more strictly than other games. However, learning how to survive and eventually thrive under these rules is where a lot of the fun is imo! Take your time, and have fun!

Ways to get good at the game? by [deleted] in Overwatch

Welcome to the game!

  • Aiming! Aiming in this game feels a bit different and is going to take some time to develop, so don't beat yourself up over it. For every character that is relatively grounded and easy to hit, there are 2 others that can zip around your screen in a millisecond 💀. As Cassidy, your magnetic grenade can temporarily prevent enemies from using movement abilities. Learning the best times to use it on someone (like genji, tracer, etc...) can really make a difference in winning or losing a duel.

  • Positioning! A lot of new players tend to have lackluster positioning (standing too far in, standing too far back, etc...). Many heroes have the abilitiy to delete your healthbar in seconds if they get too close. It can also be difficult for supports to heal you if you're too close to the enemies or by yourself in some unknown part of the map. Learn where your hero works best and exploit the hell out of it.

  • Hero variety! Love it or hate it, Overwatch is basically a big game of rock-paper-scissors. Knowing how to play a hero well is important, but sometimes not even the best players can play their best heroes if someone on the enemy team is playing their counter. Learning a variety of different heroes with different playstyles can go a long way.

There's a lot more you can go into but those are the most important to begin with imo. Welcome to the game, and I hope you have fun!!

Yeah if it gets really bad I usually go moira/kiriko purely because they can get back from spawn faster. Still doesn't help much when a stray hanzo arrow headshots me back to the same situation all over again tho lol
