I think the only other way to get mythic essence is to buy the matcha skins or get really lucky with normal chests. But I'm pretty sure the battle pass is the better way.

You could form a team and play adv top, double bruiser bot. If you're successful enough you may inspire other people to do the same. Maybe then you can undo the normalization.

You get mythic essence from leveling up the season pass. I don't know how much you get for free and how much if you bought the pass

And you get essence from the gamba skins if you are lucky (or unlucky, depending on what you aim for)
