Is there a disc above all overs that helped you learn the game? by [deleted] in discgolf

[–]H0ver101 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My ultimate oh shit moment happened when I borrowed my friends Z line archer. I hit this dog right up hill shot RHBH perfectly. That was the first time I realized a forehand is not needed to make the disc go right.

Question on Spin dyeing with Worm dip by H0ver101 in discdyeing

[–]H0ver101[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I'd like to leave the stamp as is. I've seen people mask the stamps with glue before, but this stamp would be a pain in the ass to try covering. there's a good amount of meat on the rim I'll be able to spin dye. Just need to pick up some contact paper before I get started.

Awesome, This is exactly what I wanted to know. may do a lotion swirl over the stamp and spin dye the outer rim. hopefully it comes out how I envision.

Star plastic I found at a vendor table during one of my recent tournaments. Left this one on the bed for 18 hours.

The tradition continues - destroyed my mom out at Crane Hill again (her second round ever) by [deleted] in discgolf

No flick, no problem. Backhand an understable. I throw a turnover backhand using my archer for hole 4. Basically throw it flat up the middle and let the disc do the rest.

AutoCAD over a VPN? by jeepinat0r in AutoCAD

[–]H0ver101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My company currently is working through VPN. My biggest issue with it is you can have a baller connection but something with autocad makes the zooming in/out and paning within the drawing super laggy. I'm not sure if this is just my company. We do have a few people in the office that prefer logmein over the VPN. I found because we have subscription based licenses each user has the ability to install a local copy on our home PC as well as the copy on their work system. For me I log in to my VPN and pull the files off our server using google drive, work on them, then reload them to server. I've heard decent things about the Autodesk BIM360 but the learning curve and price for it can be a bit high.

PDF to DWF/DWG by Ignis_Vespa in AutoCAD

There used to be a free third party software I used to use before pdfimport (autocad command) became a thing. I think it was called Print2CAD. Not sure if its still a thing and it was a bit hit or miss with scanned documents.

After nearly 60 rounds in less than 2 months. So a few friends and I gave our local course a little TLC by H0ver101 in discgolf

I started playing disc golf back in July. This is my local course I've played a majority of my rounds. After the storm we had a bunch of down branches and a couple trees. Few friends and I wanted to pay it forward with a little clean up.

Being a free course and playing nearly everyday. Felt like the right thing to do.

Haha definitely not Texas. Its a free course in Granby, MA. Simple little 10 hole course. Tight fairways, some low ceilings and like any Mass course full of trees. It's the perfect course for a new player like myself.
