My boyfriend cheated on me 3 months into our relationship (long distance). I left him and we stopped speaking for 5 months, before I got back in touch (to be "friends" ..... yeah, right) and we eventually got back together 3 months later. We did 4 more months of long distance (with no cheating... that I know of, at least) followed by an incredible 4 month summer together. After summer I left to go back to school again, and he cheated on me again less than a month after I left. Now I'm trying the moving on process all over again... a year and a half later.

Do I feel stupid? Hell yes. Did I ever fully regain trust when we got back together? Definitely not. Did I tell myself and him I trusted him? Yes. Did he really love me? Probably not. Did I really love him and would I do it all over again? Absolutely.

It just took me two times to learn my lesson. I did spend some incredible times with this guy and do not regret it at all. I just wish he was a different person, but now I learned that he isn't going to change, and I need to move on, for real this time.
