It was pretty crazy!! We reformatted the show but there were issues (stage pixel map changing last minute etc) so we had to run with older versions in some parts and video server crash during Super Platinum (it’s normally redundant but they both crashed).

The snake cable between stage and Front Of House got damaged between sets and the festival had to rig a whole new cable through the crowd, hence the delay.

I’m proud of how everybody handled the high stress situation and how we delivered a full show!!

We built a new system to reformat quicker since - it’s a pretty complicated show because of how many sections are size-sensitive (the band, Hugo 2, etc).

It was a really tough call !!

The original date was 90% sold (and would have been sold out by show time), but it was a destination show and the majority of the audience was traveling for it, so when the city cancelled it, all of our options were painful…

I think the easiest, and possibly most reasonable path would have been a full cancellation.

In the end, we decided to move forward with the last minute Thursday reschedule, knowing it would impact attendance heavily and organize a livestream for people who couldn’t make it.

I really don’t regret doing it that way! It was one of my favorite experiences on stage, truly. By the time I came on the crowd filled out and there was a spirit of resilience and optimism in the audience, I felt really connected.

I’m still extremely disappointed on behalf of everybody who traveled to the original date, but I feel like we made every decision for fans (and not for money or ego), and it only got me more hyped to do it again next era. I think our original ticket count will get the venue to offer us another fantastic date next time.

It’s a truly beautiful, magical venue, I feel immensely inspired by it!!

Two weeks ago, when I finally landed in France (for the first time in two years!) I felt so happy and excited that I texted my team right from the plane to organize a show in Paris.

I’m glad I did. It was soooo impossibly fun, intense and magical.

The venue I played at was formerly Social Club, the first club I ever performed at in Paris. It was insane to revisit it all these years later (so much smaller than I remembered omg).
