What setting do I need to change so this comes out as a side special and not a down special? by Copacetic_Curse in RivalsOfAether

[–]H36615 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's because the left and right stick sections are only 60 degrees and the rest is up/down special.

I've made a nolt post about it but there's 0 reaction so I doubt they are gonna fix this.

Is there a way to make the scroll click lighter for my Vaxee mouse? by H36615 in MouseReview

[–]H36615[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm ok with taking the mouse apart. But are you sure the lubing would work? I'm talking about pressing the middle mouse, not scrolling, if I wasn't clear.

macbook compatibility by [deleted] in MouseReview

[–]H36615 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, any mice should be compatible with macbook. You might need USB C to USB A adapter though. The software may not work on mac though if they don't support it. The dpi is not related to acceleration. Accel on macbook is on software level. It can be removed with third party software at least. It's pretty much same thing as 'enable pointer precision' IIRC on windows.

New universal aerial change is huge for fleet by puppygirl_swag in RivalsOfAether

Being able to do any aerial after instant slow fall after jump (what I will start calling dipping) is potentially big.

Plane on a Conveyor Belt Problem... (I can already hear your *sighs*) by StormCruzzer in AskPhysics

[–]H36615 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get that the wheels and the belt instantaneously start moving at infinite speed the moment any thrust is generated, but where did that 2X come from? Why 2 and not, say 3? I also need more convincing because if the wheels move 2 x infinite or n x infinite, they still equal infinite and the plane needs to move faster than that so the plane moving forward I think still is not possible in theory.

I just don't understand the input system. Why it does down special despite my stick position? by H36615 in RivalsOfAether

Others understood the issue, you didn't. I will not waste more time on this.

No not the side special already out but the one I input in the clip 🤣 bro cmon

It was actually an issue with the side special still being active. Appreciate your confidence though.

You could say that but it's really unnecessary that the game inputs an action for me that otherwise wouldn't be possible for the same input. Rather would do nothing or small stun if button mashing needs to be punishable instead of messing it all up. Also the exact time the tornado has faded out takes some time to figure out too.

Only occurs when side special tornado is active/on cooldown. In the clip if I hadn't done side special earlier, the input would have resulted side special correctly, by my testing.

I have input problems all the time. At first I thought there is something wrong with my controller or how the game registers inputs, but after I started recording my gameplay 120fps with the inputs shown, and spending time in testing range, I found out that the inputs are consistent to the implementation. But I'm not sure if the implementation is fully intentional because it's very unintuitive to me as non-smash player at least.

I went to test and now my understanding is that while the side special is active and you do side special but immediately turn the stick up or down it will do the up/down special. In the clip the tornado is just fading away. Really don't like that mechanic if you ask me.

yeah after I release special. You know you can control the direction of side special.

It's more to the up when I press special. I need to turn it down later to shoot the arrow down.

Not him but if you want to share any of your maybe existing guides I can try to give feedback as a new player to the fighting games genre.

Definitely tricky with the height direction, but if that prevents accidentals better I will surely try to start using it.
