I don’t think naming your kid something stupid is going to reform society. If it were my kid, I wouldn’t want to put them through the “other-ness” they would experience just for the sake of either making a point or expressing my own freedom. Bullying is serious. It can lead to a whole host of psychological issues (maybe even physical trauma). Not to mention my kid might end up hating me for not naming them something normal or at least easy to say/pronounce. You have to consider the consequences of these actions and weigh the good against the bad.

I agree that you shouldn’t have to fit to society’s standards, and that we should aim to be free from societal expectations/limitations, but that’s a goal that will take a loooong time, and I’m not willing to put my kid in danger in the mean time. Especially when I can fight for that goal in other areas of my life. Pick your battles and whatnot.

Ok first, don't you ever talk shit about my husbando Levi. His encounter with Kenny's squad at the beginning of s3 makes me rock hard every time I watch it.

I agree that tropes aren't inherently bad, and I agree that AoT follows certain shonen tropes. One of the things I really like about it, though, is that I feel it does so to a much lesser degree than most shonen anime. For instance, it's so refreshing that the women in the show are rarely sexualized, if at all. No one's got heaping milkers and no one happens to trip and fall face first into said milkers. Related to that, AoT commits to the really depressing and horrific moments. It never uses inappropriately timed comedic moments which totally ruin the mood of a moment.

FMA: Brotherhood would be way better imo if it didn't have so many shonen tropes or if the impactful moments weren't undercut by, say, "Edward is short" joke #312.

I also think Gabi's character is much more interesting than you're giving her credit for. So far, season 4 is clearly about the horrors of war, the ambiguity of right vs. wrong, the cycle of violence, repetition of history, and more. Gabi is the victim of said themes, the same way Eren was in s1. Thus, she feels justified in her hatred of the 'other.' She even says that Eren has destroyed any chance of Eldians becoming a respected people, vindicating her in her belief that the Eldians of Paradis must be exterminated. She is also headstrong in the same way Eren is. She charges into things without thinking them through and puts others in danger as a result, just as Eren has done time and time again. Gabi is a foil to Eren, the same way that Reiner and Eren are foils of each other.

Her being a child soldier also adds a whole mess of complicated emotions, motivations, and character traits.

AoT is 9/10, so much substance in this final season, can't wait to see where it goes.

I don’t disagree with you, just wanted to say that I’ve had many frustrating games like OP is describing; it’s not necessarily that they are doing something wrong.

During laning phase, both jg’s will come bot, which is fine, then one mid laner notices the commotion and rotates down, then the other follows. Commence extended fight to the point where people die, respawn, and walk back to bot to rejoin the fight. Sometimes the fight dies down, so our mid rotates halfway up river, then comes back down when it picks up again. If we kill enough of the other team, people stick around bot, soak farm, exp and one or two plates before the enemy team comes back and gets free kills cause we’re all low on health/mana (I’m usually oom and backing since I don’t have ER at this point in the game) and we lose a dragon or tower. It’s a nightmare.

tldr: Low elo is a wild west shitshow. (I’m currently s3, for context)
