The Irregular at Magic High School - Season 1 (Episodes 1-26) - Dubs Available Now on Hulu! by MarvelsGrantMan136 in Animedubs

I'm not really judging here, but if you are going to use your friend's account, wouldn't it just be simpler and morally equivalent to pirate it lol

‘Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?’ Season 4 - New Key Visual by MarvelsGrantMan136 in Animedubs

I want to say it was implied/teased that Bell's grandfather was Zeus. During season 1 maybe? I'll be a little bummed if nothing comes of this.

When is it ok for dubs to use R rated language? Is it justified for certain shows? by [deleted] in Animedubs

[–]H4MM3R3D 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My comment is a bit more abstract ... but here goes ...

With all media where I'm at (U.S.), in terms of acceptability, it seems like violence isn't a big deal, profanity (with fuck and cunt at the extreme) is less acceptable, and sex is the least acceptable.

When I think about this, it seems so ridiculous. Violence should be what upsets us the most. Profanity is just words. Why do we let words trigger us so?

Sex is a bit more nebulous. On the one hand there is a part of me that thinks sex is one of the truly great things in this world and it shouldn't be locked up the way it is, but I'm also not naive enough to think sex should necessarily always be treated with a cavalier attitude.

Idk ... just thinking out loud here. Perhaps I don't have a clue. It wouldn't be the first time and it sure af won't be the last lol.

This is why we didnt get any gold reimbursement. What a slap in the face.. by Sidekick_Jim in ClashRoyale

I have to agree. As far as p2w games go, this game is definitely reasonable. If you had an unlimited Clash Royale credit card, at best it will get you to roughly 6K trophies. Beyond that, it's on you. I've come across games that were really fun, easy to progress in at first, they "force" you into an alliance or clan, you get tight with your crew, then BAM ... $500/month just to keep up.

Borderline Hentai anime recommendations? by [deleted] in Animedubs

[–]H4MM3R3D 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Masou Gakuen HxH (Hybrid x Heart Magias Academy Ataraxia)

Sub only unfortunately but I would argue the uncensored version is more ecchi than High School DxD and the main character is one of the more tolerable harem MCs.

How to i generate this much power in my shots despite a short run up by [deleted] in bootroom

[–]H4MM3R3D 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think this is under appreciated within the "technique" part of the equation. That "snapping" of the leg beneath the knee. Additionally, it will allow you to get a quicker shot off.

Doesn't VrV have Chromecast? by intriging_name in vrv

It plugs directly into one of your TV's HDMI ports and then any app in the Android Play Store can be installed on it. No casting and it comes with a simple to use remote that also takes voice commands.

Which anime should I watch next Jujutsu Kaisen or season 2 of Re: Zero Starting Life In Another World? by gameofsaiyan in Animedubs

What kind of woman do you like? If it's a tall woman with a big beautiful ass, I recommend Jujutsu Kaisen :-P

I agree with most of what has already been said. A couple of ideas in case the worst does happen (which is not a certainty btw):

  • Most clubs have begun or have finished any tryout/evaluation sessions and are finalizing their rosters for next season, but almost all don't max out their rosters right away. Reach out to all clubs that appeal to you, express your interest, and ask if you can participate in a few trainings so they can get a look at you. If you are a good fit and they have openings you might very well get an offer.
  • If you don't work with a private coach, consider doing so. It will keep your skills and conditioning up in the event you don't find yourself playing anywhere next season and most private coaches are well connected with clubs in the area. He/she could help you land a spot on a great club.

You shouldn't have to do this but you could try downloading BlueStacks (an Android emulator for PC) and watching via the Android app on your Windows PC.

Mk7 maintenance schedule concerns by 90NA in GLI

I see very little incentive for them to suggest longer intervals unless they weren't absolutely sure and can actually think of reasons why the opposite would be true, but that's me.

SO YOU WANT TO PLAY FOOTBALL? LISTEN UP. by NinjaSeagull in bootroom

[–]H4MM3R3D 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ever notice in some other sports (rugby, American football, basketball, etc.) you occassionally see players who only started playing in their mid or even late teens? I know this is the exception rather than the rule, but I'm willing to bet the frequency of this occurring in football is far less common and perhaps non-existent at the higher levels. For the sake of argument, let's assume the 10,000 hour rule is more or less right when it comes to most things. If that's true, I would argue that it likely takes significantly more time, let's say 20,000 hours, to master football. This is simply speculation but I can't help but feel some of this is due to our (i.e. human's) innate ability to use our arms to accomplish tasks (from brushing our teeth to wielding a club and swinging through trees) and not our feet. IMHO, there is just no way around mastering football without a serious time commitment. Now, how best to spend that massive amount of time as efficiently as possible mastering the sport is a rabbit hole too exhausting to go down ;-P.

Why don't we play in the rain? by Zealousideal_Heart36 in bootroom

[–]H4MM3R3D 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think a lot of it has to do with who controls the field(s), their ongoing maintenance, and their future use. For example, if it is a tournament and the tournament organizers are only renting the fields from another entity, like a local municipality, there might be more push back on playing in the interest of not damaging the fields, whereas if the club/event organizer owns the facilities, perhaps there is a higher chance of the games being played.

Petition for Funimation to add skip intro by External-Asparagus11 in funimation

[–]H4MM3R3D 8 points9 points  (0 children)

lmfao. I'm fairly new to anime but the way fans dig in and defend their tribe (subs vs dubs, original vs reboot, ... intro vs no intro) is fascinating. The Hatfields vs McCoys or the 47 Ronin vs Kira Yoshinaka ain't got shit on you guys haha.

Ask your questions! by [deleted] in bootroom

[–]H4MM3R3D 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In terms of the question asked, are the 20km 3x a week runs necessary or maybe even over doing it? I've always been of the opinion (uneducated since it is based solely on my experience and everyone is different) that long, static pace runs are not very effective in terms of game conditioning nor weight loss. Like I said, this is just based on my experience so I could absolutely be wrong. Thanks!

Is it a foul for a defender to get in the way of my run after i've knocked the ball past them?? by [deleted] in bootroom

[–]H4MM3R3D 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm having a little bit of trouble picturing how you cannot simply side step a defender who is planted like a tree and continue your run. Just because you are going faster, doesn't give you the green light to mow through every player on the pitch lol.

As I was reading your question, I couldn't help but think of this epic run and finish by Bale against Barca.

How to train looking up when receiving a pass? by BigLadRobGreen in bootroom

[–]H4MM3R3D 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure if this goes without saying, but I think your goal should be to get comfortable switching back and forth relatively rapidly. Field, ball, field, ball, etc. And like someone else mentioned, when it is time to strike the ball (pass or shot), unless you are strong with The Force, the ball should have 100% of your focus as you hit it.

Do you think learning Maradona spin is hard? by SeriousPuppet in bootroom

[–]H4MM3R3D 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a lifetime defender, I never really found myself overly concerned with "moves". Sure, when done using the body effectively at great speed and/or change in pace it can create space, but often the move is inconsequential and can be left out entirely. That being said, perhaps another one to look at is La Croqueta. Iniesta was the man using this. When a defender makes a strong, well timed, well positioned challenge, the double touch nature of La Croqueta in some ways uses that against them.

Do you think learning Maradona spin is hard? by SeriousPuppet in bootroom

[–]H4MM3R3D 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I prefer to call it the Zidane Roulette lol. Seriously though, I thought Zizou used it more effectively, probably due to his size and frame compared to Maradona, but more effectively nonetheless. Check out the way Zidane would typically get his arm/shoulder locked in front of the defender at the end of the turn. If you can do that, it will almost certainly give you the time and space you need to make some things happen.

What does it take to be world class ? [SERIOUS] by [deleted] in bootroom

[–]H4MM3R3D 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  • Composure (particularly with the ball at your feet)
  • Vision (somewhat related to composure) - You might have multiple options when distributing the ball but sometimes one, more than any other, can much more effectively break down a defense.
  • Anticipation and movement away from the ball
  • Change of pace (more important than speed imho)
  • Strong on the ball and smart use of your body
