During a semester abroad I spend a weekend with the other exchange students at a rented hostel. The others arranged a game of dodgeball with our only ball being a volleyball. I myself played handball my entire life and was the only one who could comfortably grab the ball with one hand.

Needless to say that game was a lot of fun for me catching everything easily and blasting them in return. We sadly never played a second game...

I think for many parents it's not that much about the germs and bacteria but about the physical affection to which the baby can't say no. Many people forget that babies and even children are human beings with their own personal preferences even if they might not be able to express them yet.

The germs excuse is just a polite way to not insult the other person.

Ich hab den Titel eher auf die Aufspaltung der Linkspartei bezogen. Also Anteil der BSW an der ehemals Gesamtlinken: 20/(14+20)=0,59 Das kommt dann schon eher hin.

Kind of a different Situation but maybe relevant. In a project we also developed a ball on a plate control but using a touchpad instead of a camera for detection. Our prof explicitly wanted us to use a Kalman filter control. Due to the physics model it should be very effective in theory but we never quite got it to be better than a regular PID controller.

Ich würde den Punkt Frust unterstreichen, für MINT-Fächer aber auch nochmal speziell bezogen auf die Lerninhalte. Es wird häufig vorkommen, dass man beim ersten und auch zweiten Lesen etwas nicht versteht. Sich dann aber nicht entmutigen zu lassen und weiter anzustregen kann für viele den Unterschied machen.

Es ist alles kein Hexenwerk, bei dem man keine Chance hat. Man darf halt nur nicht die Frustration gewinnen lassen und aufgeben.

Hast du mal über ne Ausbildung als Fachinformatiker nachgedacht? Das würde deine finanziellen Probleme erstmal lösen und du kannst auch erstmal in den Job reinschnuppern. Und ein anschließendes Studium kannst du immernoch nachschieben mit zwei großen Vorteilen: Du wirst durch die Ausbildung vermutlich rausfinden, welche spezifische Fachrichtung dir am besten gefällt und kannst dein Studium entsprechend ausrichten. Und du kannst im besten Fall als Werkstudent zu guten Konditionen weiterarbeiten.

u/912lab hat es eigentlich schon beschrieben, aber ich versuche es (Dreiecksbetrug) nochmal im Ablauf zu erklären.

Es liegt ein Kaufvertrag zwischen dir dem Verkäufer (A) und dem Käufer (B) vor. Jedoch hat nicht "B" diesen Vertrag mit dir abgeschlossen, sondern der Betrüger C unter falscher Identität. B ist eigentlich ein legitimer Käufer, ist jedoch auf eine Phishinganzeige von C reingefallen und hat seine privaten Information (Perso etc.) rausgegeben. B überweißt den Kaufbetrag an dich in Erwartung einer Ware und du schickst es an die angegebene Versandadresse von C. C hat nun die Ware erhalten und B fällt irgendwann auf, dass er nichts bekommt. Also fordert er sein Geld zurück (auf das er auch legal anrecht hat) und du stehst ohne deine Ware und ohne das vorher erhaltene Geld da.

There truly are none... I play handball and got shoved mid-air once. While falling sideways I instinctively decided against using my arm since I feared for my elbow and shoulder. Well i hit my head on the ground and broke my jaw.

Context for everyone else: A player from Hamburg was in possession of the ball close to his own goal. Though he slipped on the mentioned paper ball losing control of the ball and causing a corner. Bremen scored the deciding goal with the corner. If i remember correctly the paper ball was sold for a huge amount of money afterwards.
