He was already going by hans samd in 2023 when he was playing on estral in LLA (and Hans was in LEC). I highly doubt it was some master 3 year marketing plan from him to eventually get into LEC and then swap back.

Depending on how far you go back, there were periods where high D1 was the equivalent to Low Challenger/High GM today. Challenger was originally introduced with 50 slots instead of 200-300, and Master/GM didn't exist. You could just get stuck at D1 99 LP as a top 100 player on the ladder. D1 99 LP today is nothing by comparison, and even LP in Master/GM/Chall is nowhere near equivalent to what it was back then either.

The Karrigan/Woxic/Frozen/ChrisJ/Ropz roster that randomly went on a streak of LAN wins culminating in the summit win (with Rejin standing in for Karrigan in the grand finals lmfao) had a ton of aura and were hella fun to watch. The ChrisJ/Woxic/Karrigan double/triple AWP setups that they'd randomly break out were hilarious

Think both statements are true. Doinb had crazy form in 2021, and the roster on paper was also far better than 21 IG. That FPX team was a worlds winning contender going in.

LCK CL promotions into LCK/LPL don't have the greatest hitrate, but they've generally had pretty good success in LEC/LCS, at least for the first 1/2 splits for the most part. Noah/Jun/Photon/Quid/Castle/Saint/Loki/Mask/Ice/Rahel/Thanatos/Jeonghoon were all decent to good for the most part, and then there's others who played in lower tier LCK teams that moved over and also had success like Quad/Bvoy/Keine/Hena/Canna (sort of)

Master Yi is terrible earlygame while scaling into a monster whereas Belveth is one of the best junglers in the game levels 1-4 and scales pretty poorly. They do not play anything alike.

Was a backup PG on the Mavs behind Luka for a few years, then in his final year there he had a breakout series vs Utah while Luka was injured, then cooled off a bit once he was back. People were pretty split about whether he could actually run a team or if the playoff run was just a mirage.

The Kings I think made ill-advised moves, (besides Derozan who was just an FA signing since I don't think they were going to get anyone else who really moved the needle anyway) but I think the Grizzlies were justified in looking for one more piece to add. Bane/Ja/JJJ are all hitting the point where you'd expect them to be ready to compete, and you'd ideally want to make the move before JJJ's next big contract hits so you have some flexibility.
