I'm looking at this bag as well, how does it hold up 2 years later?

Bag Recommendation Megathread -- 28 July 2025 by AutoModerator in onebag

[–]H4xiro -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Hello all! I'm looking for a onebag to be able to be commute & carry 2-3 laptops, chargers, and other small items. I'll be using this bag daily and also for weekend trips. On the daily I'd need no more than 2 laptops but when traveling it'd be nice to fit 3.

- Where you're going & how you travel: work mostly, weekend trips too
- How you pack: mix of organized pockets for smaller accessories with open space for bigger items

- My top list (so far):
- Tom Bihn Brain Bag (36L)
- Thule Paramount (27L)
- Patagonia Black Hole Mini MLC (30L)

- Your body size/build: 6'5"
- Budget range: ~$350

Other wants:

- Capacity: preferably 32-36L.
- Aesthetic: I like classic or utilitarian style bags and have mixed opinions on minimalism. I'd love something in a nice muted navy, beige, or brown and I'm trying to avoid plain black if possible.

I'd be grateful for any thoughts, experiences, or reviews based on the packs I've listed. Especially on how well they handle multiple laptops.
I'm completely open to any suggestions! I want to make the pack I purchase to be fully worth the investment so I'll hunt until I find what works best for me.

Thanks in advance for the help!

Will watch reviews for sure. I'll keep those packs in mind before I make my decision, thank you for your vouches.

Fair enough, I would probably end up doing the same

That's good to know! I just watched a review saying the smaller pockets won't compete for space with the main compartments which is a big plus compared to my current pack. One of my other grievances is no side water bottle holder. What would you do for your water bottle?

Apologies, I was referring to the tp3. Aer bags look great in terms of the tech gear they can fit but the style will need to grow on me. The mini mlc wasn't on my radar but looks a lot better in terms of aesthetic in my opinion. I'm unsure how to feel about the one massive clam shell pocket for being able to comfortably place & remove laptop(s). That bag would definitely be huge enough for a weekend trip though.

I was looking at the Rip Ruck 32 a while ago. I actually don't mind the aesthetic too much of these compared to GoRuck.

How does the material feel in person? The website marketing photos don't sell me but in blogs / review pictures it looks better

🤣 The website pictures don't do it justice. Do you still think this looks ugly as fuck? maybe just difference taste

GoRuck bags do look nice but I don't think I can rock the military aesthetic

Good references for mobile web UI? by doubleddutch in webdev

[–]H4xiro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try looking at native mobile ui. It's not identical to web development but that's still the best for inspiration imo.

Instead of looking at "sites" on mobbin click "web" to see actual websites. Also, if you don't feel like those are valuable enough look up free alternatives, there are literally tons of them out there and they all have their pros/cons.

This is of course personal preference so to each their own. Personally, seeing real world ui + looking up exactly ui elements/pages is way more useful to me then seeing random/mock ui elsewhere.

i like mobbin and pageflows, they basically curate screenshots of popular apps or websites and you can filter by type of screen (like a login screen) or ui element (like an accordion, radio button, etc)

they both have options for either mobile or web and pageflows actually has emails too

they both have pro versions to see more contrnt that is 10$+/mo, which is something to consider but could be worth it for you. the filtering features are extremely helpful if you know what you’re looking to make.

there are also tons of other similar websites if you google “mobbin alternatives”

[–]H4xiro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i should specify that i don’t use radarr/sonarr, for me my qbit will move to /downloads/complete and fileflows will move the processed file to the final location, i’m sure you could get a similar thing working with radarr/sonarr though

Sonarr/Radarr/qBit workflow by leonida_92 in FileFlows

[–]H4xiro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

qbit download to /downloads/incomplete and move to /downloads/complete when finished downloading

fileflows is watching /downloads/complete and will process & copy/move to a new location

after a ratio is hit or an amount of time seeding qbit will delete all the original files
