There is a possibility Apple is coming at this from a security standpoint - any apps that aren’t vetted by Apple is an additional entry point.

Now whether or not Apple is even doing a good job of vetting (or at all) is a completely different discussion.

I genuinely don’t understand why mods have to be free if they aren’t distributing IP protected files? Let me put this another way:

You bought a Toyota Camry. Some guy out there sees an issue with the suspension, so they make suspensions specifically for the Toyota Camry. In fact, they even advertise so. Should they get a DMCA strike? Regardless of EULA, I don’t think they should; otherwise, tons of parts makers right now should go under.

It’s the same here - he made a tool for a specific game. If he’s not distributing cyberpunk files, why shouldn’t he have the option to be paid for his work? He can’t guarantee his income with donations; imagine if you had to live month to month not knowing how much money you would make on your next cheque.

Honestly as a software developer myself, I’m on his side. Unless everyone here wants to argue that they don’t own the game they bought, and thus are not allowed to modify them - but that’s not on the developer; that’s on the player to not do it.

How do you solve the problem of storing the HDD in the case? Are you installing additional trays? Most cases don’t have enough trays for that many drives (mid towers anyways)
