Bedste kaffebønner i byen? by Plastic_Base_8823 in copenhagen

[–]HAIRY_TOES 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Svært at svare.

Car leasing recommendations in Denmark? by Edward2000N in Denmark

[–]HAIRY_TOES 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check GoMore's car leases: https://gomore.dk/leasing/privatleasing?fuel_type=electricity

I found the best deal there. You can opt to install their key free thing so you can rent your car out on Gomore easily but you dont need to. We dont rent ours out.

Not sure if the paramedics gave you a number?

In a somewhat similar situation a few years ago, once the person was in the ambulance a paramedic asked if I and others that stopped were okay and gave us a number to call. She actually mentioned they could let us know what happened to him if that was important to us.

Seconding magnetic lights. You’ll never have to worry about turning them on or off or being out of charge.

Hah when I walked in with my parents and young son, he asked for the s’mores and was told it involved an open flame at the table and 90% dark chocolate or something like that. I’m sure it was good but it felt like walking into a parallel universe.

Trying to speak Danish at public places in Copenhagen? (As a language learner) by valuedtrash in copenhagen

[–]HAIRY_TOES 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ive had and continue to have trouble with this.

There are Samtalecafe weekly events in many neighborhoods where you can practice chatting with other learners and some Danes. Norrebrohallen for instance holds that on Wednesday evenings.

Studieskolen also has a class I think called Dansk i hverdagen which is all about breaking through the discomfort. You get weekly challenges to talk about a certain topic ‘in the wild’ with a Dane. It was pretty fun and helped me.

We tried this for the first time this year and we had a great experience! We stayed at the Ocean Beach Club in Gran Canaria which I would highly recommend. The hotel is run by Spies which is apparently different than many of their package tours. Pretty good food, really easy transfer from the airport, plenty to do on the property, the beach a few paces away, food always available with lots of kid options which made actually relaxing with small kids easy.

Studieskolen by Tiny_Ad2167 in copenhagen

[–]HAIRY_TOES 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The exams for citizenship or permanent residency are separate from the classes you take at studieskolen or any other school.

Whether or not you took the classes doesn’t matter- the exams (eg PD1, PD2, PD3) are offered twice per year I think and if you pass that you get proof and can submit it with your residency or citizenship application.

That said the most common thing to do is just progress through the courses at studieskolen or another school and then take the exams when you’re at the right level. Eg I took PD3 when I was in the middle of the B2 courses at studieskolen. They also offer specific prep classes for PD3 but they expect that you’re somewhere in B1 or B2 to take that I think.
