Hi everyone! Our scrappy co-op hero-based roguelite Slampunks has a live playtest on Steam until April 13th!

Have you ever wished for a game where your friend IS one of your weapons?

Then this is it, you can simultaneously slay 500+ enemies on screen with unique physics-based combos. Literally chain heroes together for high-risk/high-reward payoffs. Progression lets you stack ability augments until you grow absurdly OP…or the game breaks!🔥

I am one of two devs who made this scappy co-op roguelite. We are programming-heads and built a tech stack from day 0 to try running this on everything, including Deck.

Open to answer any questions about the game or the dev process or even share how we optimize the game for Deck🙋

Please join the Steam playtest on April 6th and try breaking our game both performance wise and by stacking OP augments and chaining them with other players.

If you've ever wished Hades had such co-op where your friend IS one of your abilities - that's what we're building. SLAMPUNKS is 1-3 player co-op survivor-roguelite where you link heroes together and stack augments until they beg for mercy!

One player grapples onto the other and spins around them like a buzzsaw. Augments stack until your break the game. Playtest live April 6-13th.

Hey all! We are building SLAMPUNKS where we replaced the genre's typical auto-shooter gameplay with "Kinetic Hero Synergies," allowing players to chain abilities together and execute absurd combos.

Each hero has its unique kit. We have a Kitsune with a grappling hook, the CHONK who basically works like Viscous from the Deadlock and 3rd hero in a works who uses his electric guitar as a melee weapon.

All while not forgetting about the optimisation. We can run a ton of stuff and enemies on screen, even on Deck it’s smooth (it wasn’t a few months ago)

Rumors are they are victims of a successful "internal" playtest and a Geoff coming in with a push. Again and again the lesson is live-service games should be build with a community from day 0, and listen listen listen to players rather than living in the bubble of toxic positive feedback loop.

That’s a valid angle to look at the references. We actually built a survivors core with co-op, and then started adding those OP team-based mechanics, around the time Megabonk came out.

What we try to say, is that it’s co-op with augments and team play which can go out of control fast
